You feel as though you are in your own oasis far from the city, yet it's just 10 minute drive into Murcia, 10 minutes from Murcia (RMU) International Airport and just 20 minutes from the beaches on the Mar Menor sea. The villa can accommodate up to 15 guests, with six bedrooms and three bathrooms.
As you walk into this cosy yet modern home, you're welcomed into a comfortable living room with a sofa that's ready for movie nights and days of reading books. Evenings can be spent watching something on the flat-screen satellite television or playing cards together. The living area opens onto the outdoor area, so the doors can be left wide open to let the sea breeze rush in. This is ideal for those afternoons when the sun is just too hot. Thankfully, the outdoor area does also offer shade.
One of the best things about staying in a villa is the freedom to cook your own meals, which is ideal for families who need a little routine and also for those who want to try the local delicacies. Villa Fresia offers a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare a feast full of tasty tidbits. Meals can be enjoyed inside or on the patio outside the living area. However, if you don't feel like cooking, the on-site chefs can whip up something for you!
The six bedrooms comprise either double or single beds. Each room is spacious and welcoming, with homely touches and places to hang up your clothes. There are two bathrooms for guests to share, one en-suite, and a separate shower.
The outdoor area has plenty of space to explore, and everything is centred around a private pool. Spend your days swimming to your heart's content and lazing poolside, and then enjoy an evening spent in the hot tub. There's also a sauna to enjoy and plenty of spa treatments available to book!
This villa is located within El Valle Golf Resort, which has a stunning 18-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course and clubhouse for you to practice your swing. Not only that, but it also has other sports facilities for your to use, a supermarket and bakery, a bar, and a restaurant with incredible views of the sea from its mountain-side veranda. With everything you need in the villa, or practically at your doorstep, it's the perfect quiet spot to relax and call home during your stay. We think Villa Fresia is ideal for that relaxing getaway that you and your family deserve!
There's plenty to do in this sun-drenched city; just be sure to take your time and relax. It's the kind of place where nothing is done in a rush, including the construction of the cathedral, which took 300 years to build. Needless to say, you must visit this cathedral and take in the architecture. You should also go for coffee at the plaza, a great place for people-watching and a stunning place to explore. Other must-visit spots include Floridablanca Gardens, Monteagudo Castle and Murcia Archaeological Museum.
Murcia is known for its gastronomical delights, thanks to the region's lush and fertile valleys. Top, must-try dishes include Entierro, Pastel de Carne (Murcian meat pie) and Marineras, the most famous Murcia tapas. Of course, you should try as many tapas as possible. You should also go to a local market and pick up pepper, tomato, courgette, aubergines, beans, artichokes, and cauliflower, which all grow in the region.
Another must-see in this region of Spain is the nature reserves. Take a trip to the Sierra Espuña Regional Park to see some of Spain's gorgeous wildlife and explore the various hiking and biking trails that it has to offer.
