The interior boasts a vibrant and happy atmosphere with a tiled floor, brightly coloured walls, and large glass windows making it be a very sunny and luminous villa. Villa Mariposa has four charming bedrooms, and each one has an en-suite which ensures that everybody will have their own space!
Furthermore, the villa has a spacious open-plan living room with a feature fire-place, providing the perfect place to escape from the Mediterranean sun. Also, the villa is equipped with a stylish, modern kitchen where lots of lovely family meals can be cooked-up.
Moving on from this, the exterior grounds are no less extravagant! They are home to a sparkling blue swimming pool equipped with a comfortable lounging area which is ideal for a cool summer’s day. In addition to this, there is a well-equipped outdoor barbecue and a terraced dining area, where many happy-family memories can be made!
Villa Mariposa is situated in Aigua Gelida, which is a quiet residential area in Tamariu, and it is only a 15-minute stroll from the beach; Tamariu is famous for its stunning beaches. There are also many nearby bars, restaurants, and well-stocked mini-marts.
Additionally, it is only a one hour drive to the city of Girona, which has plenty of beautiful and exciting attractions for the family to enjoy, such as the Cinema Museum and Girona Cathedral.According to The Telegraph, Tamariu beach ranks as one of the best beaches on the Costa Brava. Embraced by pine-clad headlands, the horseshoe-shaped beach is very pretty, family-friendly and sheltered.
Just behind the beach is the pedestrian promenade, where there are some cafes, restaurants and beach gear shops. Parents can happily while away a little time in the shade, sipping whatever they fancy, with their children, only yards away from them, play safely on the sand.
It probably won’t be the first time you’ve heard of it, in this neck of the woods, but Tamariu was originally a small fishing village. It has definitely retained some of its charm and identity, and its beautiful south facing sandy bay offers a romantic destination for lovers. It’s also a good choice for families seeking a quieter Costa Brava resort.
The activity in the village will peak in August, but as yet there aren’t any English bars or breakfasts. Neither are their high-rise hotels on the landscape, only a blend of greens, blues and sandy shades with pretty whitewashed buildings in the foreground.

€1,000 charged to client’s credit card by the owner before arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.

Cot and highchair are available to rent, on request, and for an extra charge of €40/item. Please request this during the booking process.
Please be aware that guests will receive a link from Oliver's Travels 2 weeks before arrival to pay the security deposit and tourist tax and to supply guest details. Once completed, guests will then be provided with directions, arrival information, and the property manager's details. Please advise us if you do not receive this link.
Changeover day
Friday during peak season. Flexible during other periods.
End of stay cleaning
Standard changeover clean included in the price for stays of 7+ nights. Guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Smoking Allowed?
Smoking & Vaping are not permitted.

Tax
Catalonia Tourist Tax of up to €2 per person per night for over 16's is not included in the rental price and will need to be paid prior to arrival via a link direct to the supplier (subject to change).
