Chateau Crystal is a luxurious 19th-century chateau rental in a magnificent 105-acre estate located in the western part of the Loire Valley. It is surely one of the most spectacular chateau rentals in France, offering a 22-acre private recreational lake for boating or fishing, a tree-canopied island with an antique gazebo for weddings and a floating dock/terrace with a rowboat, 3-4 person kayak & a paddleboard you're welcome to use.

There's also a wonderful lakeside terrace, swimming pool, tennis court, 9-hole golf, palatial lawns, gorgeous gardens, magnificent exterior lighting you can control, and woods full of wildlife. All in one of the most beautiful private settings you'll ever see! Wine tasting, golf, horseback riding, bicycling, hot air ballooning, river boat tours, museums, churches, restaurants, shopping and much more are all nearby.
The Chateau has been extensively renovated and sumptuously decorated with beautiful antiques and rich fabrics. Although majestic with its dramatic, double carved-stone stairway in the entrance hall, and elaborate 16.5 foot ceilings throughout the main floor, the Chateau is warm and welcoming. A lift serves all four floors providing easy access to the reception rooms, dining rooms, chapel and the gorgeous en-suite bedrooms available for Guests. Fast wifi/internet and guest laundry facilities are available. The Chateau normally sleeps up to 28 Guests in 14 en suite bedrooms. There are also 2 apartments in a separate building, just a 3-minute walk from the Chateau, which can accommodate an additional 10 guests between the 5 bedrooms.
Self-cater or enjoy our delicious catering including Wine & Hors d'Oeuvres Tasting, Champagne Brunch, Hog Roasts, as well as fine French dining, served in the dining rooms or gardens.

Chateau and Two Apartments
Accommodate up 38 guests maximum in 19 bedrooms: 14 bedrooms in the Chateau and 5 bedrooms between the 2 separate apartments.
Chateau Interior (sleeps max. 28 in 14 bedrooms)
The Chateau has been extensively renovated and sumptuously decorated with beautiful antiques and rich fabrics. Although majestic with its dramatic, double carved-stone stairway in the entrance hall, and elaborate 16.5 foot ceilings throughout the main floor, the Chateau is warm and welcoming. The Drawing Room is inviting with its oak paneling, huge log fireplace, and private lit terrace for early evening drinks and late night parties. The magnificent Grand Salon, with its parquet flooring, original oak linen paneling, tall windows, and massive mirrored fireplace mantle, offers a luxurious yet relaxed venue for gatherings both large and small. The Chapel, with its spectacular stone rib-vault ceiling, glorious stained-glass window, and gilded oak paneling is a consecrated haven for solitude and prayer.

The splendid Silver Reception Room floor was specifically designed for hosting parties or weddings, including elevator access for guests and hi-speed dumbwaiters connecting the Silver Reception Room's service kitchen to the main kitchen two floors below. Aside from the Silver Reception Room, there are numerous other places to dine in the Chateau, ranging from elegant to cozy. The Chateau's delicious French specialities served in the Chatelain's fabulous private dining room have Guests raving about the food and the superb candlelit tables fit for royalty. The courtyard and lakeside terrace both offer special outdoor dining experiences. There is even a casual, country-style dining room for when you're in the mood for something informal.

There are 14 en suite, beautifully furnished bedrooms in the Chateau available to accommodate up to 28 Guests. Each is uniquely decorated in different color schemes ranging from azure to rose, and filled with antiques, crystal chandeliers and beds you never want to get out of! There is even a two-story master suite, with its own foyer, drawing room, and antique oak staircase leading up to a huge circular en suite bedroom that has an original hand-painted domed ceiling. (Four bedrooms can be made suitable for young children, and the Chateau will gladly prepare for young children and ensure that the “breakable” items are removed and the house is child friendly.)

  There are also two nicely decorated apartments with 5 additional bedrooms in a separate building which is a 3 minute stroll through the gardens from the Chateau. The apartments will accommodate 10 additional guests for a supplementary rental fee per night per apartment. There are also charming bed & breakfasts and hotels for many more Guests nearby.

Location

There are lovely walks amongst the gardens, around the lake's 2.5 kilometer shoreline, and through the woods. The swimming pool and adjacent pool house offer delightful relaxation in or out of the sun. Excellent carp fishing can be enjoyed in our lake.
Wine tasting, golf, horseback riding, bicycling, river boat tours, museums, churches, restaurants and shopping are all nearby.
The Chateau is well situated just 20 minutes from Angers with its great shops and restaurants. Angers is 75 minutes from Paris via TGV, and the international airport in Nantes is about an hour away.
There are many other delightful villages to visit nearby. Enquiries from location agencies, location scouts and location managers are welcome as the Chateau is also available as a castle location rental for film, movie & television productions, TV series, commercials, and fashion shoots, etc., in the Loire Valley, France.
