About

I have lived in thailand permanently now for 11 years, I have been familiar with thailand for over 30 years, starting with holidays. I moved from the south of england and it is the best thing i have ever done. It is such a beautiful part of the world, the people are so friendly, the pace of life is relaxed and the climate is very comfortable.

Baan Hua Hin Villa was very well presented with a mature garden, great views and a large, clean pool. Hua Hin town centre is about 10 minutes drive away and the villa is well placed for golf, fishing, beaches, walking and for enjoying many small bars and rustic restaurants. The owner was very helpful and the villa itself is large, nicely furnished and eminently suitable for families and groups. I enjoyed my stay at Baan Hua Hin Villa and would recommend this house and area as offering a good balance between peaceful surroundings and a bit of nightlife when you wish for it.

Just returned from a fabulous 12 nights in Russell's lovely villa, really wish it had been longer. It's very well situated for getting around, the Songthaew runs up and down Soi 94 just around the corner. There are bars and good restaurants a short walk ( our favourite was Oy) there is a well stocked small supermarket, also it's an easy 10 walk to the beach. There is a big mall -Market village with a bigger tesco if you want, maybe a 15 minute walk but a taxi or Songthaew cost little. Having said all that, the area around the villa is really quiet and we mostly enjoyed lazing by the pool every day. The villa is very well equipped and spotlessly clean, Russell was a fantastic 'landlord' and made himself available by email, phone etc ( great wifi in villa) Electric and water is payable, he estimated for us at 2500-3000 baht but we were less than that. The 'nearly' in perfect comes from the telly- sad I know! the channels were poor and anticipating this I'd brought films on a hard drive to run to the telly from my tablet, but the TV didnt have a hdmi port ( or a scart). I'm not complaining, just passing on information, that's the point of trip advisor for me. There was a DVD player but no DVD's ( I'm not sure what region it would play either) Anyway- we had the best time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I was a little anxious booking privately so I'm more than happy to offer reassurance.

Stayed at villa Lucy for 2 weeks in January 2015 I would highly recommend this villa it is set in a gated private road and I'd very quiet , it's just outside the main area of Hua hin on soi 94 has plenty of bars, restaurants shops massage shops nearby 5 mins walk , you can get the 10 baht bus from the top of the road into the main part of town they run every 10 to 15 mins . Market village is 10 mins walk away which has many shops and a very large tesco . The villa is well equipped a good sized kitchen with outside cooking hob which is great as it keeps the heat out of the villa also new washing machine . The bedrooms a very large with good sized beds the master room has a very comfortable European bed the two bathrooms are spacious and well equipped with lots of towels , there is a tv and DVD player in the living room which is due to be replaced with a new one my husband would of liked more English channels on the satellite package ( there was two ) but if your not worried about tv you will be fine I must admit didn't really watch the tv. Russell was agreed host making sure that every thing was ok and giving us tips on places to visit , if you e mail him he is very quick on replying and lent us a phone so we could get a Thai sim to use while we were there, hope to book for next year as we enjoyed this villa very much thank you Russell for all your help see you soon

My wife and I have been going to Thailand for November for a considerable number of years now and normally stay in a condo, this was our first year in a villa and chose this villa due to the good reviews it had received, the private pool, loungers and stated tranquillity. It also looked airy, spacious and best of all a washing machine and oven. The villa was exactly as described and we were initially very pleased with our choice on arrival. Russell had met us at the Bus station and had ordered a taxi to take us round to the villa and explained everything we needed to know about the villa and the local area. It is ideally located for access to the town by the 10 baht bus and there are many restaurants and drinking holes in the local area along with a 7/11 convenience store and Tescos a short walking distance away. We had couple of minor problems with the villa that Russell quickly sorted out and was always contactable by text or email. However, the neighbours to the rear of the property were very noisy and the first week of our stay played games which involved shaking dice in a cup and slamming on the table as hard as they possibly could, this was followed with raucous laughter at every turn until the early mornings and on one occasion until 0245, it got so bad that we considered moving from the master bedroom to another room to gain some sleep. Thankfully they stopped after a week, it was then the turn of their cockerel with no sense of time to take over. He started from the early hours and managed to get all the cockerels in the neighbourhood to answer him. He ceased at dawn. There is a large two storey building being built in front of the villa, the work started an hour after dawn and continued until 5PM seven days a week, sometimes later. There was banging, hammer drills and grinders being constantly used all day driving us away from pool which we would have liked to have enjoyed, there was also the lack of privacy from the upstairs of the building with the builders continually staring down at us when sitting on the veranda or when in the pool. Perhaps we were unlucky as the neighbours assured us that the area is normally quite quiet, unfortunately it wasnt tranquil as described while we were there. Due to the noise and building work we could not recommend this villas as we were unable to fully utilise the facilities as we would have liked, a shame as the property itself was very nice. Next year back to a condo for us.

With Reference to one of my normal routine visits to the property,i was told that the noise at the rear of the house was only for one night, if i was made aware that it continued for one week, I could of rectified the problem.

With regards to the property nearby being built, which should of been completed by now, I can only apologise, however as you quite rightly said the neighbours assured you it is normally a quiet area, due to the location.

My wife and I stayed here for 1 x month in July 2013. The property is located just off Soi 94 in a very quiet cul-de-sac yet it is very close to all of the local shops, bars & restaurants. Market Village is an enjoyable 15 minutes walk and the Town Center can be easily reached either by bus for BHT10 or by Tuk Tuk/Taxi for BHT100. The front garden & swimming pool is private & well maintained. The pool is small and shallow but is a nice place to cool off when sunbathing. There are 2 x good quality sun loungers available. For a bigger party you may have to ask the owner Russell (who is always easily available) for more garden furniture. Inside the Villa the decor is very bright, clean & modern. The rattan furniture in the living room is comfortable and a TV & DVD/CD player is provided. The bar area adds a good social place for gathering in the evenings for drinkypoos. The kitchen is large and has all of the necessary appliances such fridge, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle etc Also outside there is a utility area with washing machine and also a gas hob for cooking or barbecue. All 3 x bedrooms are large with king size beds. The rooms are well appointed and all with A/C provided. The bathrooms are also large and have all of the necessary amenities. The electric showers are a little low on water pressure but are manageable. On the whole this is a truly nice Villa in one of the best locations in Hua Hin. The owner is on hand and easily contactable. I would most definitely stay here again and perhaps if we do Russell will have updat ed the TV to a modern set with HDMI connection just to offer an even more perfect stay.

Its always difficult to choose a villa only from pictures. You will only know the real situation when you arrive. And what a suprise we got !!!! Its a great villa and truly value for money. Everything you need is available. At arrival we got a great welcome and after that we went exploring the neighborhood. There are a few good restaurants and (normal) bars just arround the corner and also a few stores were you can buy your first needs. If you like to walk a little bit you can also walk to the centre (about 40 min.) but taxis are also available just around the corner. The villa is situated in a quiet street and you have all the privacy you need for a nice vacation. The pool provides you a nice cool down and in the evening you can enjoy the coolness of a GOOD airco. The mattresses were (for us) very good wich we think is very important. If you like a quiet surrounding but enough "to do" close by I will highly recommend this villa. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Paul & Mirjan

We stayed here for 10 days in November 2012 and loved every minute of it. The villa has everything you need, the owner left a welcome pack which was much appreciated after our long trip to get there. The pool is small but excellent to cool down in and if you move about a bit you can get sun all day long. There are a good selec tion of restaurants and bars about 15 minutes walk away. There are street lights all the way so no problem there. Market Village mall is about half an hours walk away - all flat with bars on the way to refresh!!!! You can walk about 5 minutes to Soi 94 and a white bus goes past every 20 minutes in both directions(well it should but is a bit hit and miss) and you can catch this to go into town for 10 baht each - bargain!!!! There really is nothing negative I could say about this villa. The owners were very friendly and the communication before we left was excellent. I would have no hesitation in staying here again. Many thanks to Russell and Lucy.

We stayed in this lovely clean and comfortable villa in the middle of June. The property was located in a village area on the outskirts of Hua Hin although very convenient to good local shops and restaurants and being just a short walk or taxi (tuk tuk) ride to the main Hua Hin town area with larger shopping malls, markets and yet more good restaurants. The owner, who lives a short distance from the villa, was extremely helpful with good local knowledge. He was just a phone call away and nothing seemed too much trouble - the fact there was no languae barrier made a huge difference too. The gardens and pool were kept in excellent condition, as was the Villa. We would certainly recommend this Villa, as we had a very enjoyable holiday.

We spent 6 great days and nights in Hua Hin and really could not find anything bad to say about villa Lucy. The villa is in a peaceful location with a lovely garden and great pool. The bedrooms are large with aircon and nice comfy beds. There are restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance of the villas and more bars etc within 10. The owner Russell could not have been anymore helpful nothing was to much trouble. Including changing our arrival time due to missed connection and forwarding to us some items we left behind when we departed. All In all we had a wonderful stay at villa Lucy and would recommend it to anyone.
