We enjoyed our stay. Good experience to live in a small Greek town. Nice people all round. God little Taverna in town. For our benefit a little more kitchen supplies ind the form of bowles , would have been usefull. As well as garden funiture in the front porch would have been nice for when it is windy. Which we had a lot of wind the first week. Just small stuff. We genuinely enjoyed our stay. Thank you for your fine service!

Thank you very much for your kind feedback Daniella! We highly appreciate it and we will make sure to get some more bowls for the kitchen and we will consider the furnitute in the front porch, which is something we have never thought before! Once again we would like to thank you for commenting on the location and the taverna at the village. We would love to have you back!

Very nice Villa. Zakoros tours who manage the villa were very accommodating, we checked in late and checked out late and they had no problems with that. The villa was cleaned once during our 7day stay. They taverna up the street had excellent food. Zakoros can also help you with any questions and activities you want to do in the area.

We spent a wonderful week in this lovely villa which was very well equipped, clean and comfortable - the private pool and garden was a lovely addition. George kindly met us at the airport to show us to our hire car (hired through Zakros tours at a very competitive rate) and then to Pendamodi. The team did all they could to ensure we had a wonderful holiday and with the great local taverna and food and the local shop we couldn't have wanted more. In the words of Arnie - "We'll be back!" x

Location, Location,Location. Pendamodi is a perfect setting to explore Crete. We found some fantastic local restaurants within a short drive and everything we needed was available in the Village....even a local hostelry that served excellent local food. Unusually for rural Villas this one is serviced regularly and we found George and Elizabeth a fantastic resource who ensured our stay was everything we hoped it would be. A personal thanks to you both for your attentiveness. I have no hesitation in recommending this Villa for a relaxing break in the heart of a beautiful island. From initial enquiry right through to arrival at the airport and support in finding the Villa I found the service from Zakros Tours and the team first class. Thanks again.

We had a wonderful stay in this well equipped lovely little villa. There was everything that we needed including a bbq. The maid service was exceptional with clean linen more often then we have had in other stays. We enjoyed staying in a village setting as we have often been in the middle of nowhere, and found plenty of necessities in the local shop and ate 5 times in the taverna!

“Nous avons passé un agréable séjour, la maison est conforme à la description et aux photos. Notre hôte est venu nous chercher à l'aéroport pour nous accompagner à la villa, ce qui est fort agréable. Possibilité de location de voiture via l'hôte. La villa est située dans un joli petit village, nous conseillons le kafeneios qui est à 5 minutes à pieds, il n'y a pas de carte mais un assortiment de mezze vraiment délicieux!”

We stayed here during the first two weeks of August 2010. Our party was made up of a total of 6 people across two families. The first thing I would say is that the people are fantastic. The guys who run the villa (Adonis, George and Maria) could not have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating. Adonis and Maria (his fiance) met us at the airport and supplied our hire car (at a VERY reasonable rate). Although we had booked a 7 seater, it wasnt big enough for us and our luggage so Adonis and Maria took half the bags and led the way to the villa in their car. (They also met us at the villa on our last day and provided the same service for the return trip to the airport). While we were waiting for our car at the airport in the heat of a Cretan afternoon, Adonis vanished and reappeared with 6 bottles of cold water for us - its things like this which make a difference. George, who came to clean our pool, was always happy to sit down with us and have a cool drink and tell us some stories - a really nice guy. On one occasion the brakes on our car were giving us cause for concern - George picked up the car at 11 am and returned it at 2.30 pm complete with new brake pads - not bad going. If you are looking for a villa at the heart of the nightlife, look somewhere else. This place is a 20-25 minute drive from Heraklion or the beach. It is in the mountains and the surrounding countryside is spectacular. If you want somewhere which is away from it all but is still within easy reach of of facilities, then I would recommend it but make sure you have someone in your party who is prepared to drive on Cretan roads - its not for the faint hearted. A previous reviewer of this property mentioned a number of problems they encountered. The only one I think is worth commenting on is the condition of the toilets. There are three in the property. One of them worked perfectly for the full two weeks. One of the others had a faulty cistern which could be made to work with a tiny amount of manual intervention and was fixed by George anyway. The third could also be made to work by anyone with the smallest knowledge of plumbing - this was not fixed during our stay but I understand from Adonis that it is due to be replaced. All in all I would say that Christina Villa 3 provides good accommodation in a location which is a bit different from the standard Greek Club 18-30 beach resort you might expect, along with your own private pool. We loved it.
