The first thing to say was the communication with Marvik was excellent- He was very helpful and texted often with what was going on in the village. The second thing to say was how clean the property was. It was spotless and the bedding and towels were like hotel quality. The villa was very well laid out and the pool was of a good size. The sun loungers were new ish and very comfortable and the table and chairs out the back were perfectly sized. The outside toilet again was spotless. Brand new fridge freezer and washing machine outside and the outside lights were all good. The bedrooms upstairs were large and had everything you needed in them. The smaller one downstairs we didn’t use but was a double room size. The kitchen although small had everything ui needed in it and the electric oven and hob. Were good. The villa is situated at one end of the village however it’s only a 10 minute walk to a local supermarket and bakery. It is also very close to Victoria so all you needed was a quick cab ride to the town. The pool could have been cleaned for us coming to the villa but in fairness, we were a last minute booking. The pool area gets the sun from morning till around 4pm. All in all, very happy with the Villa and the location and the communication from Marvik.

The pool is not as child friendly as depicted in the advert, young children would not be happy with it (our grandchildren are swimmers and didn't have a problem with it). Otherwise we were very happy with everything about the villa and had a lovely holiday.

My partner and I had a fantastic week at Tal-Barun. The farmhouse had everything we wanted and more and the location was perfect, very peaceful but close to all amenities. We were very impressed by the standard of the accommodation and the master bedroom, especially, was better than most hotels we have stayed at in the UK and abroad. The only advice I would give to anyone booking would be that, although not necessary, it was very useful to have a hire car during our stay. This is not too much of a problem as car rental prices in Malta are extremely reasonable. We would definitely visit Gozo again and would not hesitate to go back to Tal-Barun, we have already recommended it to all of our friends and family!

This is a very charming property, Marvik and his mother Victoria looked after us extremely well organizing ferry transfers and car rental and a welcome hamper, milk, eggs ,coffee etc on our arrival. The week we were there was very hot and although the rooms were quite warm at night the lovely pool more than made up for it with early morning and late night dips. Overall the property is well equipped set in a quiet village with a local shop for the basics close by. Gozo is a small but interesting island and is very safe, we will definitely return if only to see the sunset at Dwerja one of the islands many simple delights.

Lovely renovated farmhouse in a small friendly village . Excellent restaurant 3 minutes walk from house which we used regularly. The house is very well equiped with everything you need for self catering. Outdoor space is on the roof and has a barbecue, table, chairs, loungers and a small kitchen. The pool is in a small courtyard off the main kitchen. The owners have worked hard to make the house and outside space attractive. Gozo is ideal if you want a relaxed holiday. It is very rural and harks back to a Malta 40 years ago. A car is essential although many people use the local buses. The bus stop is about 30 metres from the house.

Marvic and his family are the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble with them. When our boat trip got cancelled Marvic even went as far to reorganise the day so we able to make it out to sea after all. The farmhouse itself was very roomy and had everything we needed. The pool was very welcoming and was well used throughout our time there. We definitely recommend this property, especially knowing you will be looked after by Marvic and his family. We had a fantastic holiday.

My partner and I spent the most fantastic week in Tal Barun back in mid March ! The house was absolutely beautiful, very very romantic and you could tell the efforts the Borg family put into making it the beautiful relaxing retreat it is ! We had absolutely everything that could be needed, if not more, and could have done with an extra week for enjoy the all house ! We specially enjoy the roof terrace for long breakfast every day, the panoramic view of this part of the island was fantastic and we have been blessed by the weather, though the nights were still cold. They were flowers everywhere between the courtyard, the balcony and the roof terrace, and it was a delight to wake up in the beautiful master bedroom with the sun light on the limestone, just hearing the small waterfall noise of the swimming pool in the courtyard ! The area was really quiet and having done most of the island with the car or by feet, the surrounding of San Lawrenz were I think, one of the most beautiful with plenty of walks from the house, the perfect spot where to stay in Gozo ! I must thanks specially Anna and Marvik who have been fantastic hosts, taking great care of our well being as guests, showing great availability and flexibility ! I hope we will have the occasion to come back some day, its with great nostalgy that we remember these holidays where we felt at home ! Greetings from Ireland from Delphine & Gavin

Our family arrived in Gozo by seaplane and what a fantastic start to our holiday at TaNikola. We had a wonderful time from start to finish. The transfers to and from Gozo were faultless thanks to all the arrangements of Mr Marvik Borg and family, the owners of the farmhouse. The farmhouse is in the quiet village of Santa Lucija which is ideally situated for discovering Gozo. It is walking distance to the capital Victoria but an early start, a sun hat and bottle of water is essential in the heat of July/August. We hired a car for some of our time there and you can do as much or as little as you like. The farmhouse was just what we imagined and was equipped for our needs. The pool was a welcome friend in the heatwave of 40 degress during our stay! We are all now missing Gozo and its relaxed way of life. We will definitely return in the future.
