We are a family of four with two 9 year olds. We absolutely loved staying in Mount Cashel Lodge 2 and would definitely love to go back. The location is very peaceful and great for children. The owners, Pat and Annette, were very welcoming and our children became best friends with their lovely dogs. The properties look over a small lake (with an original Crannog) and guests have full access to the equipment in the boathouse. We took the larger boat out on the lake with the whole family but there are also individual canoes. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. We put on the stove every evening and used the plentiful turf supply in the shed beside our property. The location is very handy to many sightseeing options. In our short stay, we chose to visit Craggaunowen, the Aliwee Cave and Birds of Prey Experience and the Burren Discovery Centre. Overall, it was a wonderful short break.

Thank you for your positive comments. We are delighted you enjoyed Mount Cashel Lodge and we enjoyed hosting you and your family. We look forward to seeing you in the future.

Excellent stay. Owners very friendly and helpful. When we arrived there was a welcome package of milk, fruit and scones, We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a relaxing time as a family, watching the beautiful sunsets over the "pond" and making friends with the resident dogs. Not many signposted walks around the lodge, although County Clare is a very scenic area for drives etc. Cliffs of Moher and Connemara are 2-3 hours drive away. Did not try the local restaurants or bars as we were quite content to stay at Mount Cashel. Only small defect was a wonky dishwasher tray but that was a very minor detail; and for those people staying for a week or longer suggest you bring your own shampoo and toiletries as those that are provided are only, I think, meant for the first night use. Overall, a very enjoyable week and would recommend. Note: There were only four of us at the Stables which meant everyone had plenty of personal space.

Beautiful property that we rented while filming a project. So nice to come back to a warm and comfortable place at the end of a long day. I highly recommend this place for any occasion. The owners are wonderful and extremely helpful.

Such a great place to base yourself for the west side of Ireland, Pat the owner is amazing. We came to Ireland to film for a project and Pat helped us get and find all sorts of crazy things. He is lovely and so so helpful. I highly recommend staying here for fun, leisure or work.

We are a couple who rented out this fabulous property for a long weekend. Ideally located and travel distance to all the major sites in Clare. Not far from Limerick. So clean and tidy and just so warm. It is a fabulous place to stay and Pat could not have been nicer. I would highly recommend it.

We had an amazing time recently at Mount Cashel. The beauty, peace and tranquility is fantastic. The amenities are incredible, everything you could need and much more. Pat and Annette were great hosts and we would hope to return very soon to do all the things we didn't get a chance to do along with doing nothing but enjoying Mount Cashel!! Wishing you every success for the future. Ashling
