*** Things to Do ***
The centre of Pescara, with its designer and high street shops, is a 10-minute drive from the villa and there are also some best kept secrets where you can purchase designer fashion from designer factory outlets at heavily discounted prices. The beach is also a 10 minutes drive away, and if you like you can take a day trip and explore the islands of Isole Tremiti. For a list of things to see and do in the surrounding area.
Small charming characteristic towns, open markets and local festivals in the nearby area are ideal for day trips to explore. And in the evenings, the beach cafes and the old town of Pescara Porto transform themselves into vibrant night spots. Or if you like you can even catch a bus, train or drive on the “Auto Strada” to Rome for a day trip which takes only around 2 hours to get there!
The mountain range also known as "La Bella Dormentata" (The Sleeping Beauty) is 40 mins away and can be seen from the villa and Abruzzos extensive park system includes natural beauty akin to national parks in the western United States. Within Abruzzos parks lie some of Italys most beautiful ancient hill towns rivaling those of Tuscany and Umbria.
*** Winter Sports ***
The region has 15 ski resorts with 368 km of runs in 172 different ski tracks, all within a drive away. The most popular resorts are Roccaraso, Campo Felice, Campo Imperatore. Located on the highest altitudes of the Apennines, these ski areas are at heights nearly comparable to many resorts in the Alps. Because of their proximity to the Adriatic and winter precipitation patterns, they often have more snow than the Alps. Abruzzo also is popular for cross country skiing, especially on the high plain of Campo Imperatore in the Gran Sasso as well as the Piana Grande in the Majella.

We were a party of six adults so having a large house with 4 ensuite bedroom, with a/c, was extremely nice. The location was great, high on a hill with great views , with easy access to the beaches and mountains. While we totally enjoyed our stay, there were a few things that would have made it even better: the hand held showers in the twin bedrooms had very little water pressure and it was hard to regulate the temperature, updating the living room and patio would make it more inviting to enjoy the beautiful views. Some basic kitchen staples would be nice - dish soap, S&P.
We had one issue - The kitchen sink did not drain but Pedro came right over and fixed it.
I agree with another reviewer, it does seem to appear the house is still under construction, nothing to interrupt your stay just some finishing touches - switch covers, landscaping.
Overall - a wonderful stay in a beautiful house. We loved Abruzzo and cant wait to come back and I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone.

The villa was beautiful, comfortable and spacious. We did not feel cramped wih 12 people staying there. One evening we had a mall wedding reception and the guests were impressed by the villa itself and the spectacular view. It was my most comfortable stay in Italy and wished we could have stayed longer.
I have some recommendations to make that would make a stay at the villa even better. Some larger bath towels would be nice. The toaster is less than efficient an could be replaced. And, a larger, non-stick fry pan would be handy. Cooking for 12 people in two very small pans is unhandy. These changes are small but would add greatly to the comfort of the stay.
I will be recommending the Villa to my friends, some of whom are planning a visit next summer.

The price for this place was just what we were looking for. We were pleasantly surprised how nice it was and the view was beautiful. It was really nice to have a bathroom in each of our rooms too. We will definitely be back once it gets warmer as it was close enough to the beach for convenience but away from the hustle and bustle of the city....again with an great view and enough space and privacy that you dont have to worry about bothering anyone.

Beautiful hilltop villa in/near a small Adriatic village offers stunning views and peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The villa has 4 bedrooms and large communal spaces. For large groups, there were 10 people in our group, it offered both privacy and comfortable gathering spaces. The owners were responsive and helpful.
We really enjoyed ourselves at the villa. It took several days to get around without getting lost. I actually took the bus from the Piazza down to the beach several days. It was a great experience.
