My wife and I think that the loft apartment is probably the most beautifully located and well-appointed holiday accommodation we have ever rented. With its own entrance directly from the hill on which the house is built, and with its own terraces front and rear, you are physically separated from the other two flats on the property and able to catch the sun in privacy all day round. The view from the front terrace is simply stupendous, particularly as the sun sets in front of you above the mountains on the other side of Lake Garda. The apartment itself was made to a very high standard four years ago, with wood and marble floors throughout, air conditioning, an extremely spacious and well equipped bathroom (including a Jacuzzi), and a small but perfectly adequate kitchenette. One potential drawback is that the building contains two other apartments below you - and whilst the beautifully maintained pool is set well away from the house, you might find it intrusive if you were unlucky enough if the two flats below contain noisy groups who stay in all day, given that their balconies are only a few feet below yours, and project further outwards. In this eventuality, the rear balcony (which also projects round the side of the house to catch the afternoon sun) would afford at least some protection. If the occupants of all three apartments wanted to use the pool at once, there would be insufficient loungers - in practice, we tended to take turns. The delightful Michela who owns the building, is extremely helpful and ready to assist should you need it. Overall, the place was just fantastic. A car is strongly advised, however – it is a steep 30 minute climb up the hill from the town and nearest shop, although you can always use taxis.Read more
