About

I live in Cricieth, a beautiful seaside town on the coast of North Wales. I share my home with my partner Amanda and our pet dog. Cricieth is known as the ‘Pearl of Wales on the Shores of Snowdonia’, and it’s easy to see why The town has two lovely beaches, a historic castle, and a charming Victorian atmosphere. It’s also a great base for exploring the stunning Llŷn Peninsula, with its rugged cliffs, sandy coves, and quaint villages. You can enjoy walking, cycling, fishing, golfing, or just relaxing in this natural paradise. Cricieth is also close to Porthmadog, where you can hop on a steam train and discover the majestic mountains and valleys of Snowdonia National Park. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a family adventure, or a solo retreat, Cricieth has something for everyone. Come and stay in my cosy and comfortable holiday home, and experience the magic of this wonderful place I’m sure you’ll love Cricieth as much as I do. It’s a friendly and welcoming town, with plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants, and pubs to enjoy. You can also sample some of the local delicacies, such as Cadwalader’s ice cream, Welsh cakes, and fresh seafood My holiday home is spacious and well-equipped, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. It has 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a small patio garden. It also has free Wi-Fi, a TV, and a washing machine. You can bring your dog along too, as the property is pet-friendly. Cricieth is easy to reach by car or public transport. and there are regular trains and buses to Porthmadog and Pwllheli. You can also explore the area by bike or boat, as there are several rental options available. I’ll be happy to give you some tips and recommendations on what to see and do during your stay.

Great place to stay and central for Criccieth centre, beach, castle, shops, Dylan’s a 5-10 minute walk, also train station across the road for day trips to Porthmadog and Barmouth. The property is spacious and well equipped, the owners live below and where very accommodating letting us bring an extra dog and also flexible with check in and out. The bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen were clean as were the towels, bedding and kitchen equipment. The spiral stair case wouldn’t be suitable for children or infirm. Overall we felt the whole place could do with a deep clean as there was lots of cobwebs everywhere you looked and also the windows needed a good clean as did the window bottoms. The entrance area could also do with a clean and brightening up as not very welcoming on arrival. Felt like the place needs a bit of TLC having said that we all enjoyed our stay in this amazing building.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. We’re really pleased you enjoyed the location, the spaciousness of the property, and the facilities, and that our flexibility with check‑in, check‑out and the extra dog helped make your stay even easier As the building is Grade II listed, the very high ceilings and original stonework can mean cobwebs appear quickly even after a full clean. That said, we always want the space to feel its best, so we genuinely appreciate the feedback. We do wish you had mentioned it during your stay, as we live on-site and would have happily come up to sort anything immediately Thank you also for highlighting the clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, towels and bedding — our housekeeping team will be glad to hear that. We’ve taken on board your comments about the entrance area and windows, and we’re already planning some extra TLC to keep everything as welcoming as possible Thank you again for your review. We’re glad you selected “Party type: Friends”, as this is exactly the type of group the property is intended for. Just to clarify for future guests: the property is not suitable for large party groups, drinking groups, or event‑style stays. This is stated clearly in the listing, and we maintain this policy to protect both the building and the comfort of our neighbours.
