The villa was spacious and amazing. Families would need taxis or buses to get around which might add to costs as a family of 6 needs 2 taxis. Press the taxi button on the post opposite the villa and a taxi will eventually turn up. Make sure you ask them to put the meter on as charges differ per driver. Ovacik is quiet but near amenities and good for shopping in Hisaronu which is a 10 minute walk down hill. Oludeniz has great beaches but charge entrance or free with a charge for sunbeds and umbrellas.
Seahorse beach club and beach 2022 were our favourites but get there before 10.30 as it gets busy.
There is an intermittent issue with water cuts so for 3 days we had no water at all. This is an issue when the owners dont warn prospective holidaymakers about it as it is common in the area and then don’t communicate the issue and don’t think to provide large containers of water to wash with after a day on the beach That would have made all the difference to us. Late arrivals would expect a welcome pack at least and written instructions or guides. There wasn’t so we had to go without a drink or biscuit until finding a shop the following morning. We never in 10 days saw anyone to meet and greet us or explain the facilities or how to use the safe (so we didn’t) or welcome us. We worked out most things on our own but shouldn’t have had to. We only found out on day 3 there was a separate drinking water tap! Last day late flight and we were told to leave at 11am but were left to fend for ourselves when told via text to ask the local restaurant if we could use a room but we would have to pay. Lugging 8 cases in 33 degree heat is not fun when we were assured we would be transported to the offices in fethiye. Sadly that never happened. We asked for our deposit and we were told not their problem.contact the company.
The stay was ruined by lack of any customer service or care or communication. We wouldn’t book the villa again purely because we wouldn’t want the stress. Luckily my son in law is Turkish so we got by but Non Turkish speakers with young children might struggle. Disappointing. Hotel next year as they have separate water tanks! I hope the owners take note as perhaps they can improve things for future bookings. Despite our problems we loved Oludeniz and will return next year.
