A very pleasant and peaceful family house in a pretty seaside village. Beach is a short walk away and despite its small size Beadnell has several places to eat out and it is within easy reach of Seahouses and Alnwick both of which are worth a visit. We took the Farne islands boat trip which great fun. All in, a lovely holiday home. There was a slight issue with the hall radiator being on all the time. However, the following day I realised the issue was that the water was on 24/7. I switched it to timed as per the house pack instructions and that resolved the matter. My only other issue was with Host and Stay who tried to invoice me again three days before the holiday despite paying in full back in January. This caused a lot of stress and frantic emails that seemed to achieve little. In the end I contacted Clickstay the booking agents who were excellent and resolved the problem very quickly the morning of my departure. I would consider staying in Driftwood again as it was very comfortable but the panic caused my the second invoice would give me pause for thought. I need to think about that.

Loved this property in the heart of Corbridge. Beautifully decorated, visually appealing accommodation. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds very comfortable. Had a fabulous stay here and would not hesitate to recommend.

It is an extremely pleasant property, spacious, clean and overall well equipped. The location is perfect for exploring the Northumbrian coast and we had excellent days out in Bamburgh castle, Berwick Upon Tweed and Lindisfarne. The only problem we had was with the shower with the thermostat only wanting to deliver hot water. We did report this but it wasn't repaired before we left. We also had two bats the first night. The previous occupants must have left the velux windows open overnight. However, we managed to get them back out into the wild and it is hardly the owner or property's fault. Despite these couple of issues we had a very enjoyable family break and I found Host and Stay easy to deal with and the communication was very good.
