Villa Buketi

We have just returned from our holiday in Turkey where part of the holiday was in this villa.

This villa was not of an acceptable standard as it was filthy dirty and in a very poor state of repair. On our first morning after arriving late we realised the true state of the property. To start off our holiday the men in our party had to spend nearly an hour of our first morning cleaning the pool area and sunbeds so we could actually use it as it was so filthy.

We were told they would send someone, but he came on the second day walked around for a minute and left and didnt come back until the day we left! The maintenance man from next door who had nothing to do with our villa actually apologised to us for the state of it, thats how bad it was!

There was an unsafe gagged pipe sticking out across the patio area directly round the pool which if we had children would have been extremely dangerous, as it was bad enough for us to avoid.

The grass areas were all dead and full of thistles and weeds and you were unable to walk on them which made the whole area look grubby and dirty, the paintwork was flaking off all around the outside of the property, and the kitchen also had alot of damage on the cupboards, skirting and bits falling off everywhere! There werent even the basics that you would expect in the kitchen (it didnt even have a tea towel!)

There were live wires hanging out of one of the bedroom walls, and yes they really were live, along with a hole in the ceiling with wires hanging out. The door frame in our ensuite had come off and was just propped against the wall...the list to be honest of the damage and problems go on and on......

We also had no barbeque as advertised, the manager did bring us one to the villa but it was a travel size portable barbeque, and we had 8 people to feed so not suitable at all! There were also no tables or chairs on our room balconies so you couldnt sit outside and relax of a morning and the main balcony area had wooden furniture that was unsturdy with loose fittings.

The location was great as it was quiet yet near to local amenities with fantastic views, but if you want the same experience then rent the immaculate and beautifully kept villa next door.

Having been the person who booked the villa, my first few days of my holiday were ruined as I felt so bad for the rest of the party that I had chosen somewhere that simply wasn't up to standard, especially as we were celebrating my husbands Birthday. The real shame is with some TLC this could be a great place.

Unless you want to be dissapointed do not stay here.

Villa is absolutely fab. superb location, definitely recommended,  the view is die for, you may need to rent a car though
