That search led me to a small cottage hidden among olive groves in a quiet, secluded part of an old village beneath the majestic Biokovo Mountain. What first attracted me was the extraordinary view – the endless blue of the Adriatic Sea, the islands on the horizon, and sunsets that seemed to pause time for a moment. Surrounded by untouched nature and Mediterranean scents, this peaceful corner quickly became a personal retreat from the fast rhythm of city life. For several years, from 2011 to 2017, the cottage served as a private oasis where days passed slowly and naturally, filled with silence, fresh air, and the beauty of the landscape. It was during this time that the idea began to grow – that such a special place should not remain hidden, but be shared with others who seek the same feeling of peace and authentic Mediterranean charm. With great care and respect for the surroundings, the small cottage was gradually transformed into Villa Yanko, a spacious and elegant villa designed to combine modern comfort with the tranquility of nature.
