On Friday 7th March, we checked in at the 19th Hole and a member of staff took us to the apartment and handed us the key . We were very happy with the spacious villa, the kitchen was very modern. There was a well stocked supermarket just across the road and the 19th Hole restaurant was literally 30 seconds walk from the front door.
We went out in the evening and when we returned, we discovered that on the first night, Friday we have had problems with the electric and running hot water, basically there was hardly enough hot water to run a shower. We contacted Jon about the issue and got the local maintenance staff Leo who attempted to solve the problem.
On Tuesday the following week, Michael from the 19th Hole came to the villa and he identified there was a problem with the water pressure first and then it was the boiler afterall. He was very apologetic and treated the three of us for dinner that night by way of compensation. He promised all will be sorted by Wednesday, which he did, thank goodness.
Having said that, the staff at the 19th Hole were fantastic. They were always friendly and helpful. The restaurant was busy most of the time, particularly in the evening. We didn't book a table for our evening dinners as we never sure what time we would be back. The staff always tried to accommodate us and somehow managed to get us a table which was much appreciated. Plus we all enjoyed the fabulous cooking.
We finally had two nights of running hot water before we left. May be we were just very unlucky but on the whole we loved staying at the villa and have decided to book for another stay next year. Fingers crossed that there'll be no problem with hot water.
