This is a wonderful location and gives you a sense that it is a real village and not a resort. The second night there they were celebrating St John's festival and held a village festival with the village square decked out with tables and chairs. Music, dancing and food (tickets were only €10 per person). The owner was very friendly and welcoming and the room was meticulously clean and maintained throughout our stay with three changes of bedding and towels in our 8 night stay. Choise of places to eat within easy walking and Kalyves offers lets of opportunities. Good clean beaches with not too many umbrellas and beach beds.

We had a wonderful relaxing 10 days at Anna's place in August 2021 with our 4 year old, during a heatwave and covid restrictions. The village is very small and peaceful with nice walks nearby. There is a tiny 'deli' type shop but it doesn't have essentials like milk etc, for that you need to go to Vamos, Kalives or Almirida. The beach at Almirida was lovely- a pretty bay with shallow water ideal for kids and some nice restaurants and cafes. We walked to the beach one day but it took almost an hour which was hard in the heat. It's only a 15 minute drive to the beach though. The small shared pool on-site was also great for us, as was the adjacent traditional restaurant which seemed to attract locals and tourists alike. We found the studio apartment to have everything we needed and was cleaned several times during our short stay. Anna and her family were friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a great holiday.
