This is a lovely villa tucked away amongst just a few other properties. It is private, not overlooked, and not near any busy roads; we had a peaceful time (though dogs nearby seemed to love to bark at each other during the night). If you want nightlife and the hubbub of a town, this is not for you But we wanted peace and quiet round the pool, dinner outside on the terrace in the evening, and to be able to make day trips to Granada and Cordoba; this villa met our needs very comfortably. Rooms were well appointed, comfy beds, bathrooms spacious and clean. The kitchen was large and very well stocked with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. One of the gas bottles needed to be changed while we were there and the keyholder attended to sort it soon after receiving our message. A good place to stay.

The house was value for money though in need of major updates as quite literally falling apart. The location amongst the olive groves is perfect and tranquil and just a short drive from Montefrio itself or a 20mins drive to Alcala la Real where there are lots more shops and things to do. The pool makes the house, especially to cool down in the heat. The host was very attentive and couldn't do more for us, a lovely man who really tried.
