Hector's House surpassed expectations. Loved our stay there. It was comfortable, well-equipped and attractively decorated and furnished. Despite the rain, we had a great few days exploring this lovely area.

Extremely well appointed, flagstones floors a real bonus, as we had a miniature schnauzer with us, and the weather was not good!! Location v central for visiting coastal areas weather permitting. We also overlapped with my sister who stayed at Hectors House a delightful property again in Rothbury. If space allowed ( not sure where ) a microwave would be an advantage. Would recommend without hesitation Stella McDevitt

Just had a week's stay at river cottage and could have stayed much longer. The property is spacious and comfortable. No attention to detail has been spared. The lounge and bedrooms are cozy and warm, beds are comfortable, bathrooms clean and equipped with hand soap and hand softener. The kitchen is fantastically well equipped with high end appliances and lots of little extras. I really appreciated not having to buy dish soap, condiments and tea and coffee. The welcome package was also much appreciated. River View is ideally situated for visiting a multitude of attractions with the added attraction of a quiet rural retreat. Peter (the owner) was very helpful. Totally in love with this property and can't wait to visit again with the family.

This is a very lovely cottage, well appointed with excellent facilities. Although situated on the road through the village it is vey quiet indeed. Buses to Morpeth & Newcastle and Alnwick stop right outside. Northumberland is a beautiful county with outstanding sites and beaches to visit. Northumbrian people are so friendly and welcoming and there are lots of events in the Village Hall and the wonderful Gallery with crafts for sale and regular events and classes.

This is a lovely cottage but desperately in need of some blinds or nets on the windows as there is no privacy at all. The main bedroom and living room have large windows at street level and no privacy from passers by, same with rear bedroom. Only option available was blackout blinds which wasn’t suitable during the day.

Home from home, very clean, cosy & warm. Great welcome pack. Good location. Quiet village. Highly recommend Northumberland Arms, great food & service.

Felton is lovely, only 15 mins from beautiful beaches and nice restaurants nearby. The property was well equipped and had comfortable beds and great TVs! We really enjoyed the welcome hamper, thanks. The communication with owner via email was quick and efficient and the digital guide was really helpful.

We loved our first visit so much we booked to stay over Christmas. Christmas at Riverside Cottage was a delight. When we arrived the cottage had been decorated with lovely and welcoming Christmas touches. Riverside Cottage is very comfortable, homely and furnished as a befits a lovely old cottage - full of character and charm. The kitchen is a wonderful space and any keen cook will be delighted by how well equipped it is. The beds are super comfortable and the bed linen and towels pristine. The cottage is set on the riverside between two peaceful villages. The Welcome hamper was wonderful, with cakes, scones, quiche slices, and a large sourdough loaf. There was milk in the fridge. Northumberland is full of history and we particularly enjoyed our second visit to Hadrian's Wall. We did not eat out but food at the Northumberland Arms, close to the cottage, looked good. We cannot recommend this gorgeous cottage more highly.

Brilliant property. Clean, and fresh. Full amenities in kitchen. Fire created a lovely cosiness. Location fab and all in the high street traders were excellent. Great area for walking and I love Cragside. Andrew excellent host.
