About

My wife and me came first to Kas in 2002. We instantly fell in love with this town, as it is cute, offers everything you need and has no mass tourism. Kas is a former fishing town that still in 1970 was only reachable by donkey. Of course this has changed now. Kas has grown to a touristic town which is well know for high class stays. Especially artist and other creative people love to visit Kas. Kas has a wonderfull clear and blue sea and is owner of the blue flag.

We had a wonderful relaxing time at Villa Simena. The property is very comfortable and spacious with a well equipped kitchen lovely outside seating area and the most amazing sea views and sunsets. The Villa is in a very quiet and peaceful area with easy access to Kas with fabulous restaurants and still retains its authentic Turkish charm. Very easy booking process and good communication with the owners. We would not hesitate in returning.

Villa Aksel is a lovely lovely house. It is new construction and very well appointed in every aspect. The owners of the house could not have been more helpful in arranging transportation for us to and from the airport and making our stay as comfortable as possible. The kitchen in the house was great! The plates and cutlery were all of very good quality, they had all of the cooking implements that you might need to prepare a meal for your family. The beds were extremely comfortable. The linens nice and pressed. The airconditioners worked well throughout the house. The old ottoman style lighting was so nice and relaxing. The pool was nice enough to cool us off and provide some entertainment. The loungers were resort quality and the hosts were kind enough to provide us with towels for lying out. The dishwasher was a great convenience! There is a washer on the premises, but we didnt use it. The owners has taken care of every amenity that could have/should have been there. My only surprise/disappointment was with the location of the house. It is genuinely a 15 minute walk to the beach and not a far walk to the town either, but the house itself is up on a very steep hill, which means that getting down and getting back up is something of a challenge. I guessed that the hill is like a 50 degree angle, which is not insignificant. My mother-in-law, 70 years old, made it down the hill once, but was completely worn out. There was no way for her to make it up the hill. I went up and down the hill myself, down without problem, up with significant effort. My friends husband, who is in phenomenal shape, apparently ran up the hill one morning for exercise. So, you know yourself best, but I wish I would have had this information before booking. At any rate, be prepared to take cabs to and from the town center and beach. They cost 15 Lira one way and many of them will not drive up the dirt road leading to the house. Additionally, there is a lot of new/unfinished construction around the property as well. At least they werent working on anything while we were there. However, had I known that I would be in the middle of a construction zone, I probably would not have booked this. It didnt bother the other guests as much as it bothered me, but I guess its a personal thing. However, the house itself is really gorgeous, and I am sure that as the area develops it will be better and better. However, I would not currently recommend the house to you if you have small children that you need to push in a stroller, or people who dont like to walk vigorously, or older members of your party. That being said it is a good value for the right group and can certainly be enjoyed more thoroughly if you rent a car or are good for a lot of steep hilly walking to and from the town.

dreamlike we were in the middle of May in the Villa Kekova and our impressions are still very fresh .... We are just thrilled! We have not felt so comfortable for a long time and from the beginning !!! As soon as you enter the property you can enjoy the lovingly designed garden, rosemary smells in the entrance area and the lemon tree was bearing fruit, oleanders and hibiscus are blooming beautifully. If you then step onto the huge, sparkling clean terrace with hammock or Turkish corner, you are simply overwhelmed by the view of the deep blue sea and the bay. The location is really great! and the nicest thing is, you can also enjoy it from your bed, as it turned out later :-) The villa was built and designed with a lot of inspiration, you can tell immediately and accordingly you immediately feel comfortable and comfortable. Everything is extremely clean and well-kept and you also notice that someone has given a lot of thought to how to guest warm and courteous: nothing is missing, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need, a washing machine is also available. A great brick barbecue is available on the terrace, it goes without saying that we basically sat on the terrace for dinner, where we were also able to experience magnificent sunsets. Oh yes and there was also the pool. It can also be used by the residents of the neighboring Villa Simena, but that's completely ok and we had it alone most of the time. Hygiene is also very important here, the water quality was regularly checked by the typhoon, the gardener. And before you jump in, you should use the original outdoor shower .... Kas even in a wonderful place, which fortunately has been spared by "bed castles". The sea is crystal clear and the temperature is already pleasant in May. But the surrounding area also offers a lot for those interested in culture. All in all we can recommend this beautiful villa and Kas without reservations, we would rather spend our vacation there again today than tomorrow !!! Christine and Olaf

Excellent! We were the second time in the Villa Kekova. Like the first time, we loved it. The location and facilities of Villa Kekova meet the highest demands and the "care" by the extremely nice and personable landlords Axel and Jeanne (if requested) was exceptional. We can say that we have made new friends. Kas is a dream place. We will be back and can recommend Villa Kekova without restriction! We had a great vacation! Dear Axel, dear Jeanne, thank you very much! Dietmar, Natascha and Ella (Review translated from German)

A dream in Kas We spent two absolutely fantastic weeks in Turkey in Kas in early May. It is a beautiful seaside resort that is about 200 km southwest of Antalya. Kas is rather small and not overcrowded, at least not in May. You can hardly imagine a more beautiful place: on different levels of the Taurus Mountains are small houses that enjoy the wonderful panorama of the emerald green sea and small islands. According to Greek mythology, the gods inhabited Mount Olympus, but they could certainly choose Lycia and the Antiphellos (now called Kas) for a place of residence because of their beauty. The setting here is just fabulous and breathtaking, and the place has something for everyone. There are many beautiful beaches in the area and I personally have never seen such crystal clear and clean sea water as there. There is also a great offer for active people, such as diving, paragliding, boat tours, hiking trails (well-known Lycian hiking trail) etc. Those who fascinated by ancient history find a real paradise here. The surrounding area is clearly shaped by the past, there are many ruins of old cities (such as Xanthos, Tlos, Patara, Letoon and many others). There are many restaurants in Kas, where you can eat very cheap and delicious. Many small shops offer everything you find in a typical seaside resort, but also beautiful regional handicrafts. The residents are very warm and friendly towards the tourists. The house is beautiful and furnished with great attention to detail. The owners deliberately chose natural materials. Here you can see mainly natural stone, marble, wood and iron. Everything is coherent and very nice. We immediately felt very comfortable here. The rooms are cozy and flooded with light. From every room you have a spectacular view of the sea. The open kitchen is very well equipped, even has a dishwasher. The terrace offers a wonderful panorama of the mountains and the sea with islands. Here you also have everything your heart desires: the padded wooden loungers, the covered pavilion with two berths, and a small, The hosts The Jeanne and Axel Mainka family are very friendly and helpful hosts who are always available to help if you have any questions or problems. You have made every effort to make your guests' stay as pleasant and unproblematic as possible. However, the German couple shares their place of residence between Germany and Turkey, so they have an on-site administrator to help with dangerous situations when they are absent. In the house there are two folders (in German and in English) where everything is well and understandably described, e.g. information about Kas and surroundings, house rules, use of household appliances, means of transport, etc. There are also books and board games in case the weather should strike, which is rarely the case, because Kas can prove more than 300 sunny days a year. We felt really royal in Villa Simena and spent an unforgettable time in Kas. We can wholeheartedly recommend everyone to visit this great house and magical place. My dreams came true with this holiday, thank you so much! (Translated from German)

I highly recommend this villa!! It is like home from home. Nothing is missing in this wonderful accommodation in a wonderful location in Kas. From the terrace with a great pool and a nice lounge you can relax and enjoy a great panorama (the sea and Kas and the Greek island of Meis ). The nature in the immediate vicinity is also fantastic, as is the garden where lemons and herbs grow and which invites you to grill. (Brick grill is available!) (Translated from German)

stunning dream view, best equipment we have ever had My daughter and I stayed at Villa Colonia for 1 week in October and were more than happy. The apartment is snuffy and comfortably furnished, the equipment leaves nothing to be desired, especially the kitchen is very well equipped even for me as a hobby cook. The view from the balcony is stunning, framed by a dreamlike bougainvillea that serves as a climbing tree for little kittens, you can see Kas, the sea, the ports and the Greek island of Meis and take your breath away. So beautiful. The support in advance and during our stay was perfect. It was more than we wished for and we would love to come back.
