The area is tranquil and beautiful. The living area is good bit please supply a kettle/ coffee machine. The bedrooms are all underground. There is a fire safety issue which I have reported via email to Agent. The BBQ was filthy so we didn't use it. There was a wonderful bat display at dusk, gorgeous sunsets and so many places to visit within an easy 30 mins.

Lovely apartment in a fantastic area with everything you need on the doorstep. Close to supermarket, town, beach, local market and restaurants and a great breakfast from Snack Attack literally at the bottom of the road. Staff very nice and helpful where you pick your keys up from. Have already re-booked for next year.

Overall the place was ideal for our holiday though there was a couple of faults which I considered worth while photographing and passing on to the local agent. Main Bedroom & On Suite bathroom. 1. The shower although working was not very secure. 2. The mattress was 9stained(blood) and the topper was stained. Unknown. Second Bathroom 1.Door lock was broken and you couldn't lock it. In general the standard of cleaning was very poor as the floors were very dirty. Considering that the previous people left that morning and we moved in a couple of hours later, 1530 approx, I wouldn't consider that the floors would become that dusty in that time. The agent stated she wasn't aware of the problem areas so I feel there's a breakdown in the system somewhere. In essence it did not spoil our holiday and I would not hesitate to recommend it. The faults were minor but worth a mention to allow for something to be done.

Lovely clean and modern apartment with a fantastic plunge pool just great to nip in and out during the day. Main pool also lovely if you wanted more of a swim which is a short walk away. Apartment very safe and secure. Couldn't use the umbrella as it needed weighted down but couldn't find any but there was an awning which helped with providing a shaded area to sit and eat. Fantastic location as just a short walk into town with lots of restaurants and bars. Supermarket right next door which was very handy with a further two 10-15 mins walk away. Cala de Mijas is a very nice authentic resort and would recommend 100%.

We had a wonderful time here. We had 5 children with us who loved every moment and never got bored. They played with the plastic houses in the garden, swimming pool, board games and the villa was so big they even played a few games of hide and seek. The Villa is very modern with lovely bedrooms and space. We loved the fact there was 2 kitchens with 2 fridges so we was able to buy extra food and drinks. The only problem we had was there wasn’t much near us. The local shops were a 10 min walk down hill but back up hill was abit of a treck especially in the heat. And to the town was 10 euros each way in taxis But overall it was a lovely holiday which we all really enjoyed

This property is not fit for Winter lettings of any duration. It is in a poor state and badly needs upgrading. The apartment is facing South East and therefore has no sun in the afternoon. Sitting out on the balcony is not an option, as it is cold without sunshine. The sofa is old, uncomfortable and worn. The kitchen is poorly equipped for cooking with little or no cooking utensils and those that are there are old and not suitable. The bathroom is dangerous for older clients as getting in and out of the bath is difficult for anyone with limited flexibility. I had to request a non-slip bath mat. The is no grab rail. The bedroom is sparse, old foam well used mattress, two bedside lockers (2 drawers on either side) no chest of drawers for storing items that can't be hung up. No change of bedlinen provided. The paintwork is old, the floors need a major cleaning. Balcony furniture old and well used and not clean. The dirt from the previous occupation was left on the balcony along with a very old sweeping brush. A pityful place to spend four months. Villas Away is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I will be posting this review on Trip Advisor as people need to know there is no customer service provided by this company. The property is advertised as a South facing property which it clearly is not.

Overall, the villa was everything we needed for a restful break after a difficult year. However, we do have a couple of points to make. Firstly, it would have been good if the villa information book had been updated regarding towel changes. It stated that if you are staying for one week, the towels are changed mid week. When this didnt happen, I phoned the villa maintenance number to be told that because of covid, no towels are changed mid week in one week rentals. We felt that, since covid has been around for over a year now, there was ample time to update the villa information. Another issue was the tiny ant infestations in the kitchen and one bathroom (although I'm sure the resident lizard in the other bathroom kept that one clear of insects!!). So ant powder should have been provided to help with this. On a positive, 2 Rocks restaurant and bar close by was fantastic and to be recommended. Especially, if one wanted a local venue, but a meal to be matched by the larger restaurants around the marina in Cala N'Bosch. Also the BettaBuy supermarket (also close by) will make sandwiches to order and take away and are extremely good.

The apartment is beautiful. Very spacious, modern, light and well equipped for a long stay. We particularly appreciated the well equipped kitchen and the excellent TV package which had every possible channel. The bathrooms had clearly been recently refitted so the advert didn't show that there was no bath but instead a large walk in shower which we appreciated but the absence of a bath could be an issue for some so the photos need updating for accuracy. There was a problem with a drain smell in the second bathroom so we didn't use this. Very comfortable bed and plenty of fresh towels. The complex has lovely gardens and a pool. Stunning view over the bay from the gardens. Large balcony with sun until around 1pm and shade thereafter. Unfortunately the ad was inaccurate with regard to distances from the apartment to the town, shops etc. The distance itself is not a problem, the centre of La Cala is a 15 minute walk down hill. If you have mobility issues and no car the very steep hill up to the apartment could be a problem. We found it put us off going backwards and forwards to the shops, bars, town and beach and taking your suitcases and shopping up the hill is not much fun. If you have a car that would be no problem at all. We had a fantastic month in la Cala and really enjoyed the lovely apartment and it's gardens.

The owners are delightful, generous and very accommodating. The garden and pool are very pleasant. The accommodation is as stated. We didn’t hire a car as we thought we would be able to walk from the premises to the local amenities. However there are no pavements in the immediate area and the road is fairly narrow and winds which was difficult as we had an infant in a pushchair. Also the distance to a proper supermarket which sells everything including meat and fresh milk necessitates the need for a car. So we hired a taxi, reasonably priced, when we shopped and ate out. A lovely villa and a beautiful island. Thank you to the owners; you were a joy to meet.
