This has been our 3rd year booking this villa. The internet never seems to work for us. The wooden flooring at the patio definately needs work on it as we all had splinters on our feets.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Romero. The villa was comfortable and offered everything we had hoped for. We particularly liked the outdoor area which has a shaded eating area, barbecue and plenty of garden furniture, with a well kept garden and swimming pool. The villa is situated in a peaceful, quiet area within walking distance of the lovely beach at La Barrosa. We were made welcome by Hazel, the owner, who responded quickly to any communication and we felt help would be readily available if needed. We liked the Costa de la Luz area and would be happy to return for a future holiday. We would definitely book this again.

Fantastic property. Could be made into a 3 bed as I cant imagine that the dining room is ever used. Lovely property and good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Firstly on the positive side we thought the villa very pretty, lovely garden and lovely pool. Bedrooms spacious and comfortable with plenty of linen and extra towels provided. The bathrooms were clean and functional. We had quick and friendly response for any maintenance problems. Unfortunately however there are some negative issues which has meant that we didnt in the end feel the villa was good value. The kitchen is in dire need of an updat e. More importantly though, all the cupboards, cooking equipment, utensils, glasses and crockery etc. were greasey and dirty and had to be washed before use. The dishwasher does not do an efficient job so much of this was done by us by hand. There is not enough cutlery and cooking knives and most of it is well worn and needs replacing. The bottom shelf of the fridge door keeps falling out. The freezer drawers were all broken. The washing machine door came off in my hand when I opened it (this was replaced very swiftly by your maintenance people). There is inadequate seating in the living room for 6 people (just 2 x 2-seater sofas). There are no cushions for the sun beds. The BBQ looks as if it has never been cleaned and a health and safety risk - we did not use it. The pool shower was not functioning. The washing lines were set up over the lawn where the sprinkling system comes on early every morning which re-soaks any washing drying over night. There was insufficient information about the area supplied. A map of the suburb in relation to Chiclana centre would have been helpful as it is very easy to get lost. Despite all of this we managed to have an enjoyable week. The garden and pool really is lovely and it is great to have a private drive and off street parking. But it is disappointing to start ones holiday spring cleaning a kitchen. We cannot fault the service we had in terms of pool maintenance, gardeners (who came within 24 hours to tie up a climbing plant that had been blown off the wall and across the driveway during high winds) etc.

The property had every single detail to make it comfortable, not as other rental properties. We loved it!

Villa with lovely garden and pool, secure parking etc and very comfortable. Car is essential although walk to the nearest beach through pine forest is pleasant during the day not sure we would like to do it at night. Compared with other self catering we have used in Spain etc. felt it was somewhat expensive.

Lovely villa. Clean, modern interior with everything that you need. Lovely garden. Walk to fantastic beach through pine forest is pleasant. To get the most out of the area and to easily reach restaurants/ bars, you probably need a car. A great part of Spain that we would definitely visit again.

The property was perfect for us, a family of four with two young children. Hazel and her son Jack provided a very warm welcome and had even done the shopping! The house was beautifully clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including childrens toys and dvds. Hazel gave us tips on where to go and checked everything was OK. The pool was lovely and we made use of the BBQ. We would recommend this property.
