Truly amazing stay at White Azure. Everything is as seen in the pictures and the view is beautiful and amazing to wake up to every morning. Although it is remote you have everything there you could want for a relaxing stay and the housekeeper Eye and her son Yoghurt are brilliant and look after you so well and nothing is too much trouble as she will take you to where you want to go on the Island and pick you up. Her sister is an amazing cook and food was so good. The nearby beach was good as well. I would not hesitate to recommend going here and will certainly want to return. Thank you to all the team who made our break wonderful!

Everything ran very smoothly. We are a family of three couples and stayed for two weeks, one couple from New Zealand and two from the UK and Dominic arranged all airport collections and transfers for us. The speedboat transfer is highly recommended. The villa is as described, two bedrooms have air conditioning and two have stand alone electric fans. The sala has a couple of hammocks and cushions for sitting or lying on and receives more cooling breezes from the sea. Depending on the time of year and currents - check with Dominic - it is an easy 20 minute swim from the steps to the beach. There is also a single kayak - which can carry two - which is good for shepherding less confident swimmers. The restaurant on the beach is excellent value for money with good lunch menu. The other restaurant on the hill near to the villa was closed as the owners were away. The Housekeeper is Eye, and she was simply magnificent in arranging everything we wanted to do; trips, massages, shopping, car hire, taxis etc. etc. Her sister Lek does all the cooking and we enjoyed some great feasts and BBQ's. We had all breakfasts at the villa, most lunches and evening meals. Definitely a relaxing holiday and highly recommended for a quiet getaway - it is quite remote and just what we wanted. Be aware that hardly anyone accepts cards for payment; cash is king on the island but there are plenty of ATM's around. Thank you to everyone at the Villa for all their hard work.

Very beautiful, the pictures on the Internet correspond to reality . The housekeeper takes care of everything and is immediately there when you needed something . The pick up at the pier worked perfectly . The prices for the very delicious food did not always match the prices on the map . you can shower because of the low water pressure in stages , which did not disturb us as we had plenty of time .

Dear Rohm, thank you for the positive review. Your comment regarding water pressure has been noted and we have now just installed a water pump to increase the overall water pressure in the villa so hopefully this should no longer be a issue. The villa menu is also in the process of being updated. We hope to see you again in the future, Best regards Dominic

The villa is in a stunning location with views to die for from all areas. Three of us stayed there for 4 nights in July 2013. Eye, the housekeeper, is very attentive and cooked us some lovely meals and ensured the fridge was always full of chilled drinks. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Our 17-year-old son loved the pool and the kayak, which he used to head over to the beach at Than Sadet, while us adults walked over. As others have said, if you want buzzing nightlife, this is not the place for you. But if you appreciate nature and tranquillity, then youll love the villa. The butterflies in the gardens are fantastic. Yes, there are geckos in the house, but they eat the mosquitoes, so thats a win in my book. The local restaurants at Than Sadet were excellent and very cheap. We tended to eat at the beach for lunch and then have Eye cook for us in the evening. The transfer from Haad Rin is by 4x4 and is pretty bumpy as its a jungle road. If, like me, you suffer from travel sickness, you might find it challenging. Eye, the housekeeper, was great in suggesting an alternative route back to Koh Samui for us: We took the boat from the beach at Than Sadet straight to Koh Samuis Mae Nam pier, which was an excellent solution for us. She also arranged a reasonably-priced minivan on Koh Samui for our final day to take us around the island and then back to the airport. I wouldnt hesitate in recommending White Azure if youre after a peaceful get-away-from-it-all holiday in stunningly beautiful surroundings.

The place is amazing and the views from all angles / each room are breath taking! Despite the "hardships" involved in getting to White Azure (we flew, we took a bus, we took a ferry, and we got onto a 4x4 drive), it was ALL WORTH IT. Dominic, Eye + her sis plus the little Yogurt were all very friendly and welcoming. Their presence and hospitality definitely make the entire experience much sweeter and worthwhile. The 5D4N spent at White Azure under their care was eventful and memorable. Sunrise are beautiful that every morning, we did not fail in waking up at 5am ++ to soak it all in!

We are a family of four with young adult daughters. We stayed at this villa for 10 days in August 2012. We chose this villa because of the views and quiet and that’s excellent what we got - the views are absolutely stunning! The sky at night was amazing. We loved the openness of the villa – views from every room. A great design. Quiet and secluded from view with a garden down to the sea. The villa itself is comfortable. We had everything we needed and the staff when available were very friendly and helpful. We had no problems at all with the supply of electricity or hot water and appreciated that the large and noisier generators need to be switched over to smaller ones at night. Not an issue. The house is open and receives sea breezes so we never used the aircon, just the fans. We all slept soundly and yes it can be hot – this is Thailand :) We all agreed as a family that this was the best villa yet in Thailand and we have stayed in some lovely places. Do however take good shoes to walk to and from the beach since the villa is on the hillside and there are a lot of steps and quite rough terrain!! Bit of an adventure actually and certainly keeps you fit! :) The villa is secluded (and that’s why we chose it) so don’t expect to be able to use scooters or to have quick access to shops etc - if you want that all the time you’d be better off near a town. We didn’t want noise we didn’t want tourist trappings so we were very happy here. The nearest restaurant is very good, great value for money and the best one on the beach luckily. The villa staff can also cook wonderful meals - just make sure you let them know well in advance and they conjure up some magic! You’ll need torches to get back at night from beach or restaurant which the villa supplies :) If you want to visit the coast, you can either get a taxi boat from the restaurant at the other side of the beach or take the scheduled taxi boat that stops at the beach every day – cheaper too. You can also book boat tickets to get to the Full Moon Party from the restaurant at the far side of the beach….yep we had to take our teenage daughters there or no peace for the rest of holiday! :) It’s about a 45 min ride and be prepared to get wet haha!! So all in all a fantastic holiday, relaxing and in a luxuriously secluded environment – hope it lasts!

Incredible location and beautiful villa, wonderful staff. We were there with our young kids, which is not recommended given the architecture of the villa and the over whole "cliffhanging" structure of the location, but Dominic organized a baby-sitter for us and all went fine. We stayed there over a week and this was the perfect retreat. Wonderful staff. Spent our time on the beach 10 minutes walk away, eating dinner at the villa and lunch in beach shacks... perfect if you like to get away from it all to fuel your batteries

Without doubt the best thing about White Azure is the view. The photo on the website promises great things but the reality is even better. The ground floor of the house faces East (strictly South-East) so it gets the sun all day until mid-afternoon when the southern end of the building casts its own shadow over the pool, bringing welcome relief. While we were there (end of January) the weather was great sunny every day with cooling breezes off the sea. The nearby beach is lovely with lots of trees to provide shade later in the day. The sea is warm and good for swimming. Plus, there are several beach bars/restaurants. The on-site staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend that you write your requests down so they can be translated by the owner. The road to the villa is not for the faint-hearted. You shouldnt even consider hiring a 4x4 and driving yourself unless you have lots of experience over difficult terrain. Both of the people who transported us around (the owner and his on-site helper) were great drivers and had a good vehicle so I would recommend that guests rely on them and save themselves the stress. Similarly, even though its a short distance to the beach, the path is not suitable for the elderly or those with walking difficulties but the owner and his helper are happy to drive you. I recommend that you take advantage of the supermarket run when you arrive (the driver will take you) because there is nowhere to buy supplies once you get to Than Sadet. The location, views and pool make it value for money and Id recommend White Azure to any reasonably fit people who want to get away from it all and hole up by themselves for a while.
