Très bon séjour dans la villa de Philip. La vue sur la mer et la piscine sont un vrai plus. La maison est très confortable et le jardin un plaisir pour les yeux. Contact facile avec Philip. Petit supermarché tout à côté de la résidence.

Just a perfect holiday, the proximity of the apartment to the swimming pool and the tranquility at the pool were gorgeous.

We spent a sun drenched week relaxing in this lovely apartment with our 4yr old and 14week old in the third week of November. The apartment was adequately equipped for our self catering stay with everything we needed, from hair dryers to bottle openers, cheese graters to clothes airers. We ate out for more than half our stay but managed to prepare several meals within the apartment also. The gardens are well maintained and we had the pool to ourselves for a few afternoons! It seemed to be the perfect time to visit as there were very few people around yet the weather was amazing. The beach is beautiful, soft sand and clear turquoise water only a minute or two from the apartment. Local shops are not what we have in the U.K but with some adaptations and imagination you can create some enjoyable meals. We did wander in to town and there are some lovely little shops around but we found the relaxing beach was really all we needed. The is nothing to do for children in the area and we didn’t attempt any excursions with two children either but once again the beach and pool were enough to keep them entertained for the week. The owner was exceptionally helpful from my first enquiry as well as throughout our stay. Communication was excellent and any queries were answered in no more than a few hours. All in all we had a lovely stay and would recommend it for couples more than families but definitely do-able for both!

Miao is a magnificient peaceful authentic quiet island in Cabo Verde. The villa is very well situated, beautiful garden, magnificient views, swimming pool overlooking the ocean, excellent contacts with owner before and during stay over there, villa well equipped. Detailed info before arrival. We can only recommend it. Shops nearby. Kind staff members in the precint. And manager available nearby.

Great place, clean, nice set-up (tables, couches, beds, outside area), great place to enjoy the small town and to explore the rest of the island. The small town is a small walk, but easy to do. Grocery also just around the corner. We enjoyed our holiday very very much. Thank you Philip!

Tropical Resort area was very beautiful and the pool was great. We felt the location was good, it was not in the centre of Santa Maria so it was quite peaceful, but not too far to walk there (about 1,5km along the beautiful streets beside the sea). It was at the edge of the desert which we thought was beautiful, but there was also some restaurants, mini markets, cafes, car & bike hiring offices etc. next to it, and there was always people guarding the resort area, so we felt very safe. The staff was very friendly, and Philip answered always quickly whenever we had any questions. The apartment was very nice and well equipped, although quite basic, but we thought it was great. You could also buy breakfast from Tropical Resort restaurant for 7 euros. There was only 2 sunbed cushions at the apartment and we were 3 people, and it was quite uncomfortable to sunbathe without one. There was also no hand soap or dishwashing liquid which we had to buy ourselves. There was a portable wifi in the apartment that you could put credit on (we put 10 euros, it lasted about 5 days) but it didn't always work very well. But I guess that's the case in Cape Verde generally. There was wifi in the Bailey's restaurant next to the resort, so we used that one quite often. The beach was very near too, a couple of minutes walk from the apartment, it was great. We rented bikes for a day and a car for one day and it was great to see the island. We recommend seeing Ponta Preta beach and the beautiful sand dune, Shark Bay and Pedra de Lume salt craters (you could swim there, it was fun). Altogether, we had an amazing holiday and a great place to stay during it!!

These apartments are located 15 minutes walk from the very center of the town of Santa Maria, in the area where the hotels are located, they are built on the 1st line. On the 2nd line is a group of apartments, among which is the Tropical Resort! The place is safe, comfortable, near the representative offices of tourist companies that offer excursions around the island, laundry, small shops with food, water and alcohol, bars and restaurants, where there are many tourists. Regular flight Tap Portugal arrives on the island not quite successfully, late at night, so there were minor concerns with obtaining keys and chek in the apartments. However, the fears were in vain, since we were met (at an additional cost) at the airport and the driver already had keys from the apartments. In the morning the representative came directly to us and told about all the nuances, helped to buy a SIM card for the Internet (very inexpensive 8 euros for 3 GB). In the apartment there is a router, which allows you to connect several devices. Thank you for a few bottles of water, kindly left in the fridge. Territory Tropical Resort with a nice swimming pool, shower, sun beds, well-groomed, very close to the restaurant with Italian cuisine. But we took advantage of the pool once, because we arrived to the Ocean, but some people were constantly resting by the pool. To the beach 5-7 minutes, where you can rent umbrellas and sun loungers. The ocean, even despite the wind in the winter, was beautiful. In short, everything was great, the food can be cooked in the kitchen, which has everything you need (except the dishwasher) with a full set of dishes, pans. What can be improved? by and large, nothing, but if absolutely to be picky, then we lacked several hooks for towels and clothes in the bathroom, individual towels for the beach and pool and a small low water tap at the entrance to the apartments or the resort to wash their feet after the beach. The owner of the apartment Philip, thank you very much, because he and his representative Jill were almost always on call and at any time were ready to help with advice or business. But since we are experienced travelers (before Cape Verde visited 123 countries of the world), we did not bother with our questions! Philip, my wife and I have already decided that we will definitely return, maybe we'll take friends or parents with us!

We enjoied our stay very much! Maio ist very friendly and the villa an especially the pool are wonderfull. We staied there for 9 days before we travelled on to Fogo. Also our kids (3 boys: 15, 13 and 6) were satisfied.

Decent place, friendly and helpful proprietor. A local girl came every morning selling home made goat cheese. Delicious!

Location near the city of Maio is very good. Calm and peaceful. Very nice house with all the tool necessary to live very well. We were a family of 6 (2 adults-4children) and it was very easy to live at this adress. People in Maio are friendly and life is very smooth. I probably would charge the electricity, water and gas as separate cost instead of an all included total cost. It would be even more interesting.14
