Hi, I’m Rachel. I’ve had the privilege of owning Thimble Cottage since 2001. Having been brought up in Sheffield, I spent a lot of my childhood exploring the Peak District and fell in love with it from an early age. I found that I spent a lot of time looking for well equipped and comfortable one bedroom cottages and realised that there was a gap in the market. We didn’t want to waste money renting bigger places that lacked coziness. We all spend so much time and energy at work that a comfortable bolt hole is essential. We aim to price competitively and any profits are put straight back into the cottage. This delights our regular visitors and ensures that we are keeping up to date with standards and quality.
