Family from Dunbar, United Kingdom July 2018

Excellent villa. Very clean and spacious. Local agent very helpful and attended to all our requests We arrived around 1am and property was hard to locate up a dark road with no signage. Located next to a commercial lorry unit and opposite a car garage which wasn't advised in the initial advert hence a little disappointing. Nearest shop is around 2 miles away in Pazin butl cafe close by and grill restaurant. Only major point of note was the cleanliness of the pool which was green for a number of days and took around a week to get clear. Disappointing for the kids and could have been a health danger. Local agent acknowledged the problem which was rectified albeit we did lose a number of days of pool usage over the 2 week break. Property next door (same owner) had a similar issue and they demanded a refund. Not sure how we stand here for and compensation. . All in all great villa and lovely country. Recommended.

We stayed at Casita Lozari for the last week of May 2017. There were two adults and one 12 yr old. The property is in a very sleepy village with no services but this suited us as it was so restfull and safe. Whilst being down a road that only serves the village it is very well located for visiting both the coast and inland areas of Istria but a car is essential. It is 30 minutes to the coast at Novigrad and 10 minutes to the famous mountain village of Groznan or 40 minutes to Motovun. The accommodation is open plan upstairs with kitchen, dinning space and lounge. Downstairs are two spacious bedrooms with french windows onto a shaded garden. We found the property to be very clean and tidy. A little more cupboard space for hanging clothes would not go a miss but this is a very minor thing. The thing we made the most of was the swimming pool. It was ideal for us and our daughter. The garden, being fully enclosed was great as our daughter has learning needs and it was easy to keep an eye on her. There was also a small trampoline and two swings which she enjoyed using All in all this is a great place if you want a safe environment, peace and tranquillity, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards and the ability to cool off in a well maintained private swimming pool. I although think it was very good value for money.

Friends April 2017

This villa is definitely one of a kind. Overlooking the luscious green vineyards and only a short drive from the sea, this villa is luxurious and secluded oasis. I travelled to Croatia with 5 friends and we all didn't want to leave after our 4 night stay. There is just so much space in this multi-level property. We spent a lot of time in the wellness centre (sauna, spa and relaxation room) and the additional downstairs kitchen and dining area was perfect for an outdoor lunch. There's also a huge grassed garden big enough to have a football game. If you have kids, there was ample enough space for them to run around. The owner helped us organise tours to the local wineries and restaurants and ordered in massages for us too. We had a really local and traditional experience without being bothered by any staff. The food in the nearby restaurants was some of the most delicious meals we have ever eaten, better than Italy! Highly recommend and we are all planning the next trip back.

Friends from Holywood, United Kingdom July 2016

Our party was four couples, and the Residence offered the perfect accommodation for our holiday (a week in July 2016). We all rated the Residence Monte as outstanding, in every respect. The area is charming - high on an ridge overlooking olive groves and hamlets and with a view of the sea. The local villages are quaint and quiet, with some excellent restaurants. The nearest town, Butje, has shops, bars and cafes. The nearby seaside resorts are delightful for a day or evening out. The Residence has been restored and presented to a very high standard. The four bedrooms are spacious and beautifully furnished, each with an en-suite. The outside spaces are terraced down the hillside and have wonderful views. The pool-house is magnificently appointed with every facility one could want - sauna, steam room, shower, chill-out room, private terrace. Our favourite common area was the terrace outside the kitchen. We spent many happy hours around the table enjoying this very special place.
