Owner Interview: we talk to Susan Dyson about her house near Disney World Florida

We've just had a catch-up with one of our owners, Susan Dyson, who owns a villa in Aylesbury, Florida. It's only 15 minutes drive from Disney World which is perfect if you know some little ones who would love to pay the theme park a visit... Susan's been an owner with us since 2004, so she's been with us since the beginning - back when 'Villarenters' was in its infancy!

 Hi Susan! Tell us a little bit about your property and its location. Our home is a 4 bedroom and 3 bathroom home with large (15 x 30) private pool with extended pool deck, built on a large plot on Aylesbury. Set in a quiet cul de sac, yet ideally located for the big Florida attractions and an easy drive to the Theme Parks. It's only 15mins to Walt Disney World! Imagine yourself relaxing by the pool after a day at the parks. Why do you love the area? This is a great area. There are restaurants, shops and supermarkets all nearby. Our central location and ease of access to the Interstate mean you can soon be at the theme parks and we also have easy access to Cocoa beach and the space coast to the East or to Tampa and Clearwater on the west.

Who would you recommend this property to? Our home is ideal for 2 families or a family holiday with the grandparents. Previous guests have commented that our home is larger and more spacious than expected which is ideal as everyone can have their own space. All doors leading to the pool are alarmed so if you have children in the party you will know if they are heading for the pool, so you can keep them safe!   Talk us through your routine for making sure your property is perfect for your guests when they arrive. We have parties ranging in size from 2 to 10 with people staying from 3 days to 3 months. Our guests have included honeymooners, wedding parties, family reunions, sports teams and of course many families on holiday. I like to have contact with the people who are going to stay in our home so that I can help them plan their trip, if they'd like me to! Directions and other details are always sent out by email in good time to allow guests to ask any questions. The home is always checked by my management company before guests arrive. Their office is only 5 mins away and they are available 24 hours a day in case of any emergency that a guest may have. We also offer an optional welcome back with basic groceries to save a trip to the supermarket after a long flight.  

Finally, give us a recommendation for your favourite local restaurant. I love the Tiki Bar on the shore of Lake Minneola which is approx 30mins drive North. Its a great place for Sunday lunch but you may need to queue!   Picture: Wikimapia
