Bairds View Villa is very spacious, clean, well equipped (superb pool & tropical garden) and well managed. There is an amenable, local housekeeper to contact to help with any issues. The Villa is a 3 minute walk from a beautiful, unspoilt Caribbean beach on the platinum coast and is closely located to the coastal road on the west where plenty of local buses run daily, making it a great base for exploring. The Villa is located on a residential street and the neighbours are very friendly. The only negative we would say is that as the Villa is in a local area, it is a bit noisy if you stay here all day, dogs barking, cockerels crowing, radios playing and hammering etc. We actually thought it added to the charm but some guests may want more peace! As a base to explore the island Bairds View Villa is superb.

We were lucky enough to book this villa for 11 nights in January 2018 and we were certainly not disappointed.
The villa is fantastic and the pictures don’t do it justice. This is a fantastic villa and we would certainly recommend and rebook if we go back to Barbados.
The first thing that you notice is how clean it is. It’s fantastically well cleaned and the mid week cleaner even did the ironing that we had. So so clean.
The communication with Hanifa, the property manager and Yunus the owner was great and Hanifa met us with the keys and a quick tour. There was even a mobile phone for us to use if we needed. There were no issues with our stay and I found her to be really helpful.
The bedrooms are all large and air conditioned and are all of good spec. The bathrooms are all of good spec and modern and clean.
The kitchen has everything you need in it. A very well stocked kitchen. The best I have had in a villa.
The living area doesn’t have air conditioning. Although it has a ceiling fan I felt it needed something else as the room was so warm as there’s no wind to blow in from outside.
Outside is a treat. The dining area is great to have your meals at and the washing line is so handy. The pool area is fantastic. One of the best pools we have had. It’s cleaned twice a week and again is spotless. Loved the outside shower and toilet.
Plenty of towels and beach towels and liked the fact that toilet roll, soaps, washing liquid was all supplied.
It’s situated near Speightstown and Holetown, right in the middle of shops, restaurants, beaches and local eateries. A brilliant area.
Everybody we encountered were so friendly. Neighbours even asked us how our holiday was going. Such a friendly place. We felt so safe in and out of the villa.
I can’t stress enough how great this villa was. A real and rare treat.
Thankyou. Barry Thomson.

We've just returned from two weeks staying here. There were 8 of us in total - 2 sets of parents and 4 teenagers ranging from 14-18. From booking to arrival and throughout our stay, we've been delighted. Hanifa, the villa manager is extremely responsive, helpful and on hand for any questions or problems. We thank her for making our trip such a wonderful experience. We had Joel, their chef, cook for us on the first night which was well planned as after a long journey from the UK, we were tired.
The villa has all you need, nothing needs adding. Pool is wonderful and enough sun loungers for our party. We had a combination of some night in bbq'ing and some nights going out. When we are at the villa we had all the equipment we needed to create wonderful evening meals!
The location is perfect for exploring the island. Staying in one of the many big hotels would have felt sterile and we could have been anywhere in the world, but staying here we were surrounded by local people and felt as though we'd had more of an experience as to what Barbados is all about. Local towns of Hole Town and Speghtstown both in walking distance (50 mins approx) if like us you like to go out early in the mornings for some exercise, if not, only 5-10 mins in the car. Speightstown has Jordan's supermarket which is where we shopped. A new shop is being built in Hole Town. Local fish can be bought at the fish market just at the bottom of the road (and ask for some of their Bajan spice mix to put on the fish - it's the best), next to John Moore's rum shack which is great for sundowners with a local feel, as is Reed's Bay for some quiet beach time - both easily walkable. Santi's offer comfy sun beds, great menu, kids enjoy water sports and there's live music on Sundays and Wednesdays - worth a trip! Try the Lone Star and Tides for dinner and take a trip up to the northerly point to see the dramatic Atlantic Coast. Stop at The Crane for lunch at the Azure restaurant and if you want a catamaran day trip to swim with turtles, snorkel over ship wrecks etc , book Tiami. Oistens is a must on a Friday (we went twice).
We were glad of having a car but also used the reggae buses regularly.
We give the villa and Hanifa a big thumbs up! W d definitely go back again.

Overall, a lovely property for a family of four. It would be nice to have two sun loungers available as other villas did, (and were securely locked at the rear of their properties when not in use). The only issue to be aware of is neighbouring properties are permanently occupied by British residents who do not allow children jumping into the swimming pool and prefer quiet at all times, which is difficult when your children just want to have some fun playing games... Good range of kitchen facilities and comfortable beds.
