We had a wonderful week in Northumberland in March.
The cottage is close to lots of major attractions - too many for a week.
the coast is beautiful and so is the countryside.
the cottage was perfect. A lovely welcome pack of goodies from the bakery over the road was there for us on our arrival.
The Northumberland arms close by manages to combine being a proper pub servingseveral excellently kept beers with providing serious fine dining.
I would recommend this cottage whole heartedly.
Lovely cottage with everything needed for comfortable stay. Peaceful village location with great access to all places of interest. Welcome basket from' The Running Fox 'was a welcome bonus after a long journey. A lovely relaxing week spending quality time with family in homely relaxing surroundings, would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.
We spent a thoroughly enjoyable week at Riverside Cottage. It was cosy, comfortable and extremely well equipped. The welcome pack was outstanding, we've never encountered a more scrumptious one! The accessibility of the cottage to the coast and the tourist hotspots was excellent. We were delighted to be able to bring our two dogs along. The walk into the woods and alongside the river was lovely and made up for the lack of garden space. We weren't altogether happy with allocated parking spot on the bend alongside the crash barrier outside the cottage, so simply parked in the Northumberland Arms car park or across the bridge outside the Running Fox. Take note, lack of a mobile phone signal in the village is an issue. The wifi was good however and the home phone was a useful means for family to keep in touch with us. Would definitely recommend and would book again ourselves.
This was a lovely property in a quiet location, the rooms were nicely furnished and everything worked as it should.
The welcome basket was a nice touch.
Local facilities were good for the size of the village.
Parking could be an issue at busy weekends
Beautiful cottage in a stunning location perfectly located to tour Northumberland, welcome basket a lovely touch, would definitely like to visit again, cottage has everything you could need and is presented beautifully.
