A bit about myself ... I'm married with two children and live in Kent. I don't work full time but I have several interests, some paid, some voluntary, with most related to properties. For example, I'm a relocation agent helping people move to the UK, refurbish properties for business and own use, am a landlord and, of course, have Casa Amora. My parents bought Casa Amora from plan and I took over the running in the mid-2000s. So, as well as being a business, it's our family vacation home. I plan on keeping the villa as a escape in the sun so no air conditioning or high-tech wiring, but homely, comfortable and with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. I'm open to suggestions. Our apartment is family owned and was completed and furnished in April 2007. It is owned by my brother who runs his own mortgage advice company, my partner who is a Matron in the NHS and myself,, saving people money every day with Utility Warehouse. We bought the apartment - our first in tthe overseas property market - before it was completed and it gives us everything we want; fantastic views of the marina, lots of space and its proximity to great restaurants, the beach and the beautiful old town. We bought this villa in 2007 and have been renting this villa since 2007, happily the guests who have stayed at our villa have recommended it to their friends. They say the photos do not do it justice! Many return year after year and have become friends. We added the private heatable swimming pool. We upgrade and replace all kitchen and bathrooms as necessary. We love sharing the villa with other families to enjoy. We fell in love with Guia and the Algarve on our first visit. Charming area but close to everything! The Portuguese people are so warm and friendly .......just delightful. I have a background in Pharmaceutical Sales and Retailing, previously owned our own business for over 20 years. Now retired, but a busy and adoring Grandmother to three.

I live in England on the edge of the Cotswolds. I have 3 children. I have run a property company of both commercial and residential properties for over 30 years. I enjoy living in the country but always look forward to going to Portugal especially when the weather at home is dark, grey and cold. I am used to letting out property in my day to day work so I have experience of what people expect in order to have an enjoyable holiday. We have friends who have holidayed on the west coast of the Algarve for over 20 years and said that their favourite place was Praia da Luz so we decided we would go and see for ourselves. The first time we went to Luz we fell in love with it. The beautiful beaches, the lovely blue skies and the warm sunshine was just what we were looking for. The added bonus was although we were in a foreign country the local people all spoke very good English so there was no need to learn Portuguese. Luz is only 45 minutes drive from Faro airport, the town of Lagos is only a 10 min drive away. We looked at several beaches around the area but decided that Luz had the best. After looking at several properties in Luz we felt this one met all our needs and today we are still pleased with the choice we made. We were looking for a villa which was a short walk from the town and beach, not overlooked, has a private swimming pool and with fantastic sea views and that is what we were lucky enough to find. We have owned the villa for 16 years and have always enjoyed our holidays staying at the villa and having a nice restful and relaxed time. It is only 5-10 minutes walk to the shops and beach so you can just walk down in the evening to enjoy a delicious meal at one of several restaurants in the town. You can lounge around the lovely big pool which is private and not overlooked. The gates to the property can be locked and so it is very secure. What I look forward to is to wake up in the morning and look out to see the fantastic sea views. We are fortunate that the management company who look after the villa has their office is literally just down the road.

We are living and working in ireland (Dublin) and visited vilamoura few times in the past and loved the climate then we purchased our own apartment in 2005 and made sure to provide home to home holiday place for us and others to enjoy the warm climate and lifestyle there. What we love mostly about this apartment is that the location is excellent and within walking distance to the marina where you can enjoy the good weather, local food and drinks.

About the Owners:- My name is Ken Paterson married to Yvonne. I worked in financial services as the Compliance and Risk Director for a major national Independent Financial Adviser, but retired in December 2019. Yvonne was an office manager with an estate agent, previously with a major high street bank, IBM and self employed as a bridal seamstress, but now also retired. We bought our first apartment at Villa Rosal in Sao Raphael near Albufeira 21 years ago. We rented it out but sold after 3 years as it did not give us the peace and quiet we wanted for our own holiday. We bought a new villa in 2009 near Ferreiras, but moved on again in 2020 to our current villa, which we live in for 9 / 10 months of the year. We handle holiday rental enquiries for our own villa. We also handle enquiries for some villas and apartments that are managed by the local Villa Management Company, Albuera Domus, which is based in Albufeira. All our villas and apartments are in the "luxury" category, and located in very quiet, upmarket areas. If like us you want peace and quiet but close to everything then our properties are what you are looking for.

We bought the property because it was located in a tranquil part of Sao Bras yet only a relatively short distance to the shops and restaurants. Since purchasing the property it has undergone refurbishment which has enhanced the Villa's appeal and comfort. We love staying there. I would describe myself as someone who loves the great outdoors. Golfing, eating out, going to the gym, tennis, and traveling are the recreation I enjoy most. Life is for living !!
