This holiday home is in a neat, small bungalow on a spacious property of the landlord and has convenient furnishing and a beautiful terrace. In addition to a bunk bed in the second bedroom, there is also a sofa bed in the living room that can accommodate two people. This holiday home is not directly located on the Ummanz Island, but is located in Rügen Village, which is adjacent to Ummanz Village in Ummanz District. Ummanz Island is 20 sq km huge and is connected to its larger sister island called Rügen by a bridge that is 250 metres long. The Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park is located on this island. This island is a location of tranquillity and nature. The lagoon here is very shallow as the highest point is just 5 metres above sea level. Experience a varied nature and a wonderful countryside in the bay area and on the Baltic Coast that has charming fishing villages with characteristic thatched-roof homes. The adventure park called Karls-Erdbeerhof is an ideal holiday destination on the Baltic Coast and is just 12 km away from this holiday home. Also visit the tree-top path in the natural heritage centre, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view. The wooden boardwalk is smooth. Horse-lovers can visit the Haflinger horse breeding centre on the island. Enjoy the view of the horses grazing in green paddocks in tranquil nature. You can swing in the saddle here or take guided rides or be chauffeured around the town in the carriages called Kremser. There are various activities for active holidaymakers on this small island. There is a surfing school in western part of Ummanz, which has the shallowest waters in Germany. You can also quickly reach Zudar Peninsula or the town called Putbus, where children can play in the famous indoor play area called Pirate Island. The narrow-gauge railway called the Racing Roland runs between Göhren and Putbus and provides a special experience. This home is located near the hanseatic town called Stralsund and its Ozeaneum Aquarium and the Maritime Museum. A water heater is available in this home.

The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:

  • A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.

If a property has an annexe then it will typically be a building attached to the main property or a small self-contained building. Annexes often have no central heating.

Please note that bedrooms in holiday rentals are usually not that large; you should refer to the floor plan to get a sense of size.
