House overview - owner's description

This luxurious, semi-detached duplex house in the Baltic Sea Resort of Olpenitz has three floors. Nestled between the mouth of the Schlei Bay and the waters of the sailing harbour, you can enjoy fantastic views from almost all the rooms of this holiday home. Over the marina, you can also enjoy the view of the Baltic Sea. The bright and spacious living area of this house is on the ground floor. In the living room as well as in the other rooms, you can enjoy a good view of the sailboats, the waves and the seagulls through the panoramic, ceiling-high windows. Enjoy the sun and the view from both the large terraces in summer. You can reach the private roof terrace and relax on the modern lounge furniture from the small panoramic studio on the top floor. The larger terrace is directly adjacent to the water and offers perfect conditions for sunbathing on windy days, thanks to the beach chair. On the top floor, the sauna (with a separate shower) is in the studio, where you can feel the cosy warmth after a long walk along the beach. In here, you can also view the first autumn storm that stirs up the water. This home provides a dream holiday in any season! There is a small cove with a sandy beach for swimming in the Baltic Sea Resort of Olpenitz. The kilometres-long sandy beach guarded by DLRG that stretches till Schönhagen is also located nearby. As the price system of this resort is very flexible, it is ideal for any kind of holiday, such as, a spontaneous short trip, a long weekend, long, relaxing summer holiday or a just break in quieter seasons, especially when the Baltic Sea Beaches offer a lot of space and the homes become very cosy. Daily arrival and departure is possible all year round!- Short stays available, minimum 2 nights onwards! The new holiday resort is built on the former army grounds in Olpenitz on more than 150 hectares and is surrounded by nature. Please note that the Olpenitz Baltic Sea Resort is still under construction. Restaurants and cafes are not available and most of the access roads are not connected to the main routes yet. The direct view of Baltic Sea is naturally pristine, wonderful and priceless, but some of the spots (towards the mainland and over the Schlei) lack the view as the property is still under construction. The area near the house is also under construction and the property includes a parking place that is available temporarily. Children must be carefully supervised due to the ongoing construction activities. Rental price is calculated based on the construction stage. This beautiful modern house is made from wood and was recently built in 2015. The agent has rated it as a five star property so it is one of their best houses - tastefully furnished and fully equipped. It is also good value for money. This house has beautiful panoramic view over water; it is also only 6km from Kappeln. It is set in a very convenient location, 1km away from a sandy beach. There's also a restaurant 3km away.

The house has free wireless internet. You can also park on-site at no extra charge. The house is well equipped: it has a refrigerator, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. The property has a sauna; it also has some garden furniture outside.

You will receive full details about your booking including directions to the property and a booking voucher that you need to hand over to the property manager when you receive the keys. In some instances you may need to collect the keys from the property manager’s office or some other location which is not the actual property you have booked to stay in. Please note that the agent provides us with the GPS co-ordinates in the travel directions and we communicate these to you; you should contact the property manager if these are unclear.

The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:

  • A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.

If a property has an annexe then it will typically be a building attached to the main property or a small self-contained building. Annexes often have no central heating.
