Stunning Sea Views and lots of Space are the hallmark of Villa Jodaruya, with uninterupted views from the pool and terrace.
Set just above the impressive Kalamar Bay, at the base of the Taurus Mountains. Villa Jodaruya’s location makes the most of the uninterrupted sea views. The centre of Kalkan with its picturesque harbour and chic restaurants is only a 20 minute walk away. There is a 10 minute walk to the nearest Supermarket and local restaurants. A short down hill walk brings you to two beach clubs by the sea in Kalamar Bay.
Currently accommodating up to 6 people Villa Jodaruya is furnished to a high standard and is fully air-conditioned. The Southwest facing villa has one of the best views that Kalamar has to offer.
At the front of the property there is a parking area, a pretty garden with Olive trees, Bougainvillea and other flowering plants.
Deliberately designed and constructed in an L shape so that most of the rooms face the sea giving you beautiful scenery as you move around the villa. Upon entering your eye is automatically drawn to the magnificent views from the ceiling to floor panoramic windows, which run along the front of the property.
There is a large modern, open plan living, dining & kitchen area. The kitchen comes fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and black granite worktops. Should you want to rustle up some Turkish cuisine there is a fabulous central island with oven and hob that faces out to the breathtaking view.
Just off the kitchen area you will find a utility room with washing machine, iron and ironing board.
A substantial dining area leads to the spacious and comfortable lounge with ample luxury seating, feature fireplace, satellite TV, DVD player, a traditional Turkish killims seating area and downstairs toilet.
Large double doors take you out to the partially covered alfresco dining area, terrace and poolside. It’s from here that you can truly appreciate the stunning views and space that Villa Jodaruya has to offer.
There’s a larger than average 14m x 5m kidney shaped, infinity pool with an overall depth of 1.5m.
Surrounding the pool there is a spacious terrace with sun loungers complete with thick padded cushions on which to relax. Large parasols are provided to keep you shaded. For your convenience the pool area has its own outside toilet and outdoor shower
A shaded pergola area with comfortable garden furniture provides an ideal place to relax and soak in the views.
Excellent outside lighting creates a wonderful evening ambience providing you with the opportunity to eat out and relax in the evening, you could even experience night time swimming in the illuminated pool.
Back Inside a winding marble staircase to the second floor leads to a large landing, where again you are struck by the beautiful views. There are patio doors that open out onto a balcony, which overlooks the pool and terrace area.
The 3 double bedrooms consist of a very large master bedroom with great sea views, a walk in wardrobe, and an en-suite featuring a Jacuzzi bath.
The second double bedroom also offers wonderful sea views, plenty of storage with a large wardrobe, a dressing table with mirror and doors out onto a balcony.
The third bedroom with views towards the mountains can be set up as either a double or a twin with ample storage, a dressing table and mirror.
Situated between the second and third bedrooms is a large modern family bathroom with separate walk in shower.
A second staircase leads to the 3rd floor, which offers a vast unused space with a small shower room and access to the roof terraces.
Described by Tapestry Holidays as the most picturesque harbour in the Mediterranean, Kalkan is situated on Turkeys spectacular Turquoise coast, nestled in a beautiful bay at the foot of the Taurus Mountains.
One of the highlights of Kalkan is its Old Town, which is a maze of cobbled streets winding down to the beautiful harbour, its chic harbour side restaurants and bars. With plenty of gullets and boats of all sizes lining the harbour, it really lives up to its name and makes this romantic harbour town a truly relaxing place to visit.
As you walk down through the old town you will be amazed at all the old Greek and Turkish buildings covered with bougainvillea. Mainly occupied by small shops, it is here, amongst the old buildings that you will find the entrances to various roof top restaurants. It is a magical feeling and amazing sight when dining in a rooftop restaurant, as you see lots of other restaurants lit up and seemingly floating in the air as they tumble down the hill towards the harbour.
Although the Harbour side and Rooftop restaurants are the most popular, there are a wide range of restaurants, cafes and bars to suit all tastes throughout the town. All told there are over 100 to choose from which keeps the quality, the standard of food and service very high at reasonable prices. You will be hard pushed to find a better selection of fine restaurants in such a small place as this. It is quite rightly refered to as the gourmet capital of Turkey.
Kalkan has a man made pebble beach, but is better known for its beach clubs and proximity to the famous beaches of Patara and Kaputas cove. The beach clubs consist of rock bathing platforms with café/restaurants, some of which are reached by a 5 minute water taxi ride across the bay. Kalkan boasts a Blue Flag award for the cleanliness of the waters that surround it, making Kalkan and ideal place for all forms of water sports.
In only a 20 minute drive you can find the stunning Patara beach with its long sandy beach and beach café. You can sit back and enjoy the view of the sailing boats passing by on the sparkling seawater.
Surrounding Kalkan are many historical and geographical sites. Pinara, Patara, Xanthos, Thlos and Myra cover ancient settlements from the Byzantine, Roman and Lycian periods. The river gorge at Saklikent and famous beach at Ölü Deniz are all less than an hour away.
Anyone looking for a friendly harbour town with spectacular scenery and terrific climate cannot help but love it. The beauty of the location, the friendliness of the local people, the cuisine and overall ambience of Kalkan attracts visitors back time and time again
The Kalamar Bay area provides the peace and tranquility required for a really relaxing holiday.
Set just a short distance from all that the village has to offer I think it really is the best location in Kalkan.
There are several restaurants in the area which are great for lunch or an evening meal if you want to stay local.
Down in the bay there is the Kalamar Beach Club with a wide range of watersports and a lovely restaurant which is open for lunch and in the evenings. You will need to pay to use the sunbeds but the bonus is that they will give you a lift back to the villa if you need one.
Just further along is the Kulube Hotel which has free sunbeds as well as a beautiful little restaurant which is set just above the water. This is a really special place for a nice long lunch with the sound of the sea lapping against the rocks just below.
All in all we feel that if you are going to stay in Kalkan the Kalamar area is place to be.
Weve just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks at Villa Jodaruya. The villa exceeded our expectations in every aspect and the views from every room were incredible.
The owner Dave was very helpful in answering any queries we had prior to the trip and everything went smoothly from start to finish.
This was our 2nd visit to Kalkan but our first to this villa. It wont be our last! The Kalamar Bay area is beautiful and is now our preferred area (despite the distance from the centre of Kalkan) as its so quiet and peaceful. There are a few restaurants within a 10 minute stroll which we enjoyed when we fancied a change from those in Kalkan. Cant wait to return!

With Views to die for, Jodaruya exceeded expectations and was simply the best place to be in Turkey this year!
From the moment we opened the front door the villa exceeded all expectations and after 2 weeks we were sorry to say goodbye.
Kalkan people are both helpful and friendly and through the helpful info in the Villa we enjoyed exploring the area and eating both in Kalkan and of course around the pool
This villa will remain on our list and we look forward to our return
Thanks for a great holiday

I stayed in this Villa last year and am now returing this year as i enjoyed it so much. The villa is breathtaking, the veiws are beautiful. I was very comfortable staying in this villa as it was incredicbly clean, cool due to the air conditioning and close to the town. Its perfect for a family/friends holiday, i can not wait to return!
I stayed at the villa with my partner and two of my best friends, it was the perfect get away. It s at the top of the hill and hidden away from all the hustle and bustle, although if you want to experience the Turkish culture then there are a number of lovely restaurants and bars about 10 minuites away.
The villa itself is like a piece of pradise, tranquil and relaxing. Our room had its own air conditioning system, so we were never too hot, it had all the amenaties you need including a gigantic fridge freezer and a dishwasher, so if you wanna stay in a coupe of nights and have a bbq on the terrace ( like we did ) then you can, and you wont have to worry about the washing up.
The pool is amazing, its an infanity pool wich looks rite over the horizon, and you never have to worry about getting too dirty as they have their own pool man who comes and checks on it...
Staying at this villa was an amazing experience for us, we will definately be going back...Cant wait for that matter.
So if you are planning the perfetc get away, I would definately recomend VILLA JODA RORA!!!!
We first visited this beautifull villa in 2008 and really enjoyed our stay, we found it was very spacious and layed out lovely, epecially the infinity swimming pool looking over the bay with out of this world views.A holiday that will never be forgotten and look forward to going back in 2010, one of the best equipped places that we have ever stayed in.The Wells family from Essex.
The Ryan family are repeat visitors to this fantastic villa and we are already looking forward to this summer's holiday there. The Villa is so spacious and has everything you could want and more!! The view from the two main bedrooms overlooking the bay are fantastic and the infinity pool is to die for. With the abundance of first class restaurants and bars in Kalkan, this villa is in an ideal location.I'm sure anybody who books this villa will enjoy their holiday as much as we do.Ryan Family, Northampton.
Lovely property with amazing views. Very spacious, clean and modern villa. Nobody would ever get bored with the views from the pool area, poolside terrace, bedrooms and roof terrace! Within walking distance to Kalkan village and local beach clubs. We stayed here with a group of friends and we all said that we would definitely be back again. A great place for either a chill out holiday or a holiday with family & friends. Kalkan town is beautiful, lots of interesting shops cafes and the food in the local restaurants is exceptional.Cant wait to go back to his lovely part of the world! ,Brendan Smith, Waterford.
A large villa built on a double plot with a bigger than average pool. There is lots of space in and around the villa with stunning views across Kalamar Bay to Mouse & Snake Islands from the spacious terrace.
