In a delightful rural area that can be used as a central base for sightseeing - within a mile of the entrance to the national park. The villa has a large garden, most of which is lawn, a large and private 9x4m swimming pool. There is a barbecue built into the wall outside kitchen. Very well equipped for families that want to get away from it all. Stunning outdoor pool table, table tennis, badminton, ball games, hundreds of books, DVDs, board games, Nintendo Wii, Playstation, Sony PSP 2 and 3, Nintendo DS and broadband internet access.

Local walking beaches (where boats are moored) a close walk (400m). 2km from the town of Olhao (6 supermarkets, cinema, hundreds of restaurants) with water-taxi to the surrounding islands and their more tourist beaches from Fuseta or Olhao. Many families don't hire a car and simply take the occaisional local taxi but also a great base for exploring the Algarve by car.

Couple from Manchester, United Kingdom Sep 2015

The villa is easily accessible from Faro airport and is in a nice peaceful location (apart from a little noise from the main road). There is a good, and very cheap, restaurant just over the road and several supermarkets just a few minutes drive away. Angie and Stuart, who look after the villa, are extremely friendly and helpful. The property is spacious and is not overlooked at all. The outdoor facilities are excellent - plenty of space to relax, a nice sized swimming pool and a superb covered outdoor pool table. The barbecue is the best we have ever used. The inside of the villa is spacious and is very well equipped - full satellite TV package, wi-fi, DVDs, games, books, etc, etc. We were particularly pleased with the coffee machine. Our only criticisms were the beds, which were not very comfortable, and some minor repairs are needed here and there. For example, there was no towel rail in one bathroom and no toilet roll holder in the other; some of the power sockets/switches were loose. The pool could have benefited from more frequent maintenance - the filter pump was only working on the last day of our two-week holiday. With some minor repairs/maintenance, we would certainly recommend the villa.

Family from Wallasey, United Kingdom Aug 2015

We stayed here for 5 nights and couldn't fault the facilities. It is obvious that the villa is used by the owners themselves and as such has all of the extra home comforts that you might need and more. We were extremely well looked after by the agent Angie who arranged for a grocery pack to be waiting for us as we were arriving late. We did not hire a car and managed perfectly well with the local bus service into Olhao and taxis back, but for longer stays a car would be advised to make the most of the area. Locally, we ate at the Marim restaurant across the road and a snack bar at the Aldeia de Marim approximately 10 mins walk from the Villa, and both were very friendly and really good value for money. The bus into Olhao for a larger choice of restaurants was very reliable and only took 10 minutes. We also took a ferry across to Armona island and found the snack bar prices there to be very reasonable. We spent a fair amount of time just lazing around the Villa and in the pool which felt a little cold initially but warmer once you were in. WiFi was very reliable and the TV had full Sky Package including sports and movies, there was also a huge selection of DVD's, games and books to read. All in all we would recommend the Villa as a great base for exploring the Eastern Algarve but also great if you don't want to venture out as it has everything you need.

Family from Fort William, United Kingdom Jul 2015

Villa was fantastic had everything you need and more. Totally converted me to villas did not want to come home. Only thing was slightly out the way car defenetly needed but that was recommended in advert. Great for kids when to hot as plenty to entertain them with inside.

Couple from Moira, United Kingdom May 2014

We stayed at this villa for 1 week in May. Had a great relaxing time. The pool was warm at times due to the cover that retains heat, really nice pool and good size, also had a net to take out any leaves that blow in due to the lovely plants/trees surrounding the property that makes it very secluded and have great privacy.

We used the barbecue a few times and sat out in the lovely evening sun playing pool which is a great addition. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, we never used the cooker as we just had barbecues and ate out in different towns but it can be used easily if wanted.  The house has a nice cool temperature that even in May is great to come inside to cool down. The entertainment provided is awesome, tons of board games, play stations etc and lots of DVD/blurays to choose from even has 2 full sets of golf clubs to use. Sitting area is very comfortable. Great location away from the hustle of big towns but easy to travel in all directions with a car as we did.

We had 2 small issues, 1. We locked ourselves out the first day the back door locks behind you so make sure you take a key or leave the key on the outside of the door if using the pool etc. Stuart who looks after the villa came up within 1 hour to let us back in which was really good of him and came quickly . 2nd our fridge stopped working due to a fuse, again Stuart came up in 45 mins and had it all sorted, great communication with the owners and amazing customer service. The villa, garden and pool is area is bigger than it looks in the photos and is well maintained.

A lovely villa, very private and secure and in a great location for albufeira, tavira and Spain.

Definitely recommend at this great price, cant beat it

From Derby, United Kingdom Sep 2012

We arrived late and left late due to our flights which we understand was very awkward. However despite this we were very well looked after. The villa was beautiful. Very clean and well looked after. Air conditioning throughout and very nice bathrooms. The pool was a good size and kept very clean and maintained during our stay. Also the pool table area is a very nice addition!

The lounge has more than enough DVDs, CDs, consoles and a very nice TV - not that any of this matters when youre in Portugal! The surrounding area is quiet, very private. We found a couple of local bars and a very nice restaurant across the road - all very cheap - the restaurant was 8 euros for 3 courses inc. beer and wine! We couldnt find the local beach but this was our fault as we stayed by the lovely pool most of the time! We did have a couple of days out to the islands which were very nice and unspoilt from tourists (again very cheap - we paid 80 cents for a beer in one restaurant!) taxis and water taxis were very cheap too. Tavira is about 25 mins in the taxi and is worth a trip too. We were provided with plenty of information (as well as having free wifi access) and advised to use 2 friendly taxi drivers which we made full use of for supermarket trips etc.

All in all the place exceeded our expectations and we were delighted with both the villa and how well we were looked after - we were even brought fresh towels! Will definitely recommend and come again. (Sept, 2012)

From Salisbury, United Kingdom Aug 2010

The villa and its contents were exactly as described. We tended to stay at the villa which had everything needed to entertain you pool pool table masses of games (outdoors & indoors), DVDs masses of adult and some childrens books loads of Playstation games etc. The pool was fantastic. Our 4 year old was happy splashing and playing on the gentle steps into the pool building up confidence before going into it properly we all literally spent hours each day in the pool and when it got to the hottest part of the day we sought refuge in the air conditioning and played on the Playstation - we really enjoyed the quizes and the karaoke!! The pool man kept the pool clean and topped up and was very unobtusive. Any questions we had were promptly sorted by Angie and we even got a new DVD player when we had problems playing DVDs.

We went to the beach at Baril (you park and then can take a little train or walk) which was excellent. It was busy (school hols) but if you walked 5 mins up the beach it was considerably quieter.

A relaxing and enjoyable holiday in a villa that was very well kitted out.

My family and I stayed at the villa during July 2016. We found the villa to be of an excellent standard with a fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms and large bedrooms. We spent a few days of our stay around the pool as it was a great size with plenty of room around and in the gardens for the kids to play around. There was also a huge array of things to keep them entertained with tennis rackets, badminton rackets, golf clubs, darts and the pool table to keep them entertained if the pool didn't. There is also a full UK sky package as well as a PlayStation. We would certainly stay again, and Angie and her husband certainly looked after us during our stay if ever we needed help. Thanks again. Dan, Laura and the kids

Villa lovely with nice clean pool. Any queries answered very promptly. Really enjoyed it. Isabel and Andy, June 2012

Just wanted to say thanks for all your help with booking etc with regards our hols. It really was a lovely break and we all enjoyed Portugal very much. Lucky to have had a good journey home and even come home to good weather this weekend but non of us are looking forward to getting back to the routine of work and school tomorrow! Oh well all good things must come to an end I guess. Thanks again and as Thomas said on the way to the airport can we come back and stay! So, hopefully we will find ourselves returning to Portugal maybe next year.....Kind regards, Alison

Sharon and Steve have been visiting the Algarve for several years and they intend to relocate there in a few years time.
