Villa overview

Just a 15-minute walk from one of many incredible beaches along the Algarve coast, nestled in the leafy landscape of Vilamoura, Villa Abai is an extraordinary property perfect for a group looking for something a little special for their time away.

The interiors enjoy wonderful modern, minimalist decor, with extremely spacious and simultaneously cosy spaces throughout. There's full air conditioning across the whole villa, as well as Wi-Fi in all areas, to keep you cool, calm and connected! In the magnificent living room, three plush sofas sit before the large, flat-screen TV, with both cable and English channels! The surrounding furnishings are designed to feel welcoming and homely, with stocked bookcases and cheerful artwork! The remarkably fully-equipped kitchen is enormous, intricately kitted out and an absolute pleasure to use – and there's even an additional kitchen which can be made available for bigger events and parties on request!

There are six sumptuous bedrooms in total, all with ensuite facilities and air conditioning! Three rooms can be accessed directly from the common area, while a fourth is found on the first-floor. The final two rooms are in the independent annexe. All six rooms are vibrant, lively and unique, with a range of modern and more classical styles – so there'll be something to suite everybody's tastes! Each room has a breath-taking private bathroom, each with a different style and facilities, some with deep bathtubs, and others with double walk-in showers! All six have electric towel heaters. There are an additional two single, temporary beds that can be put up anywhere you like, just let us know!

In your magnificent garden you can enjoy all the charm of a country house, with your own lake with a bridge and fabulous water fountain, a large swimming pool, a putting green with 5 holes, outdoor games and an outdoor Jacuzzi! Palm trees envelope the villa, creating a tropical atmosphere as you stroll among the many plants and features of the beautiful grounds. The young children will love playing in their playground surrounded by all of these natural wonders, and the pool table and ping-pong table on the veranda are perfect for a little late-evening fun with the kids (and big kids!).

You're just a 20-minute walk from the beach, and less than a 25-minute drive to Faro, so you can easily access all the highlights of the area! While you're very near to the action of the Vale do Lobo resort, the location remains calm and quiet, making it ideal for a little outdoor activity, be that a peaceful stroll or even a bike ride. We recommend hiring bikes nearby and taking a scenic trip around the neighbourhood, including to the world-famous golf courses less than 3km away.

Location

Once an expanse of pine forests and empty beaches, Vale de Lobo has been transformed into the height of luxury over the last 50 years. The first of the three corners of what is now Algarve's Golden Triangle, Vale do Lobo was among the first tourist resorts ever to be built in Portugal, and indeed is the site of the first five-star hotel in the Algarve!

Of course, with two 18-hole championship golf courses, the Royal and the Ocean, Vale de Lobo is the dream destination for any aspiring golfer. So fantastic are the facilities, the resort hosted the Portuguese Open in 2002 and 2003! Indeed, across the country of Portugal, there are 14 of the world's top 100 best golf courses, making it the perfect destination for those who enjoy a day out on the course.

Outside of golf, the Algarve is an excellent destination for other hobbyists. With a vast coastline that meets the powerful Atlantic Ocean, Portugal is a true paradise for the keen surfer, or indeed even those looking to try if for the first time, with plenty of surfing schools all along the calmer sections of the coast. And even for those less enamoured with surfing, the beaches of Portugal are well worth a visit for their beautifully clear waters.

The Algarve, the southernmost region of Portugal, is famous for its picturesque scenes of vast blue skies casting a warming glow on the expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, with untouched bays framed by jagged Limestone rocks at every turn. While the southern coast caters to every need of its visitors, to the West and the rugged interior the land remains largely untouched, with less development and endless intersecting of historic villages, hilltop castles and beautiful churches.

Portugal itself is a small, fascinating country at the most Western point of mainland Europe. The capital, Lisbon, is known for its lively nightlife, with endless bars and clubs full of fun-loving locals and tourists alike, but also has plenty of fascinating history (check out Belem, jam-packed with monuments!) and undulating terrain, famously termed the ‘city of the seven hills'.
