This 15th Century Guest house at Manoir des Rosiers, la maison du manoir, has been entirely renovated, with traditional French furniture. Features a downstairs shower, hot tub and ensuite WC.
In the grounds of a manor-house surrounded by lavanders and roses, la Maison is a solid stone-house, possibly the original stable, entirely renovated, furnished with antique French furniture.The gite has one double bedroom with antique four poster bed and one twin bedroom both with a bath in the room and ensuite WC. There is also a downstairs shower room. A newly fitted kitchen with dining area. A large living room with a huge stone fire place (logs supplied).Guest have shared use to the heated pool (May /September) to the large garden and the hot-tub (May/September). Shared access to home cinema in a separate building.
The area
A short drive from the river Loire the Manoir des rosiers is set on the edge of a small village in tranquil countryside. There are many historic sights localy such as troglidite caves, chateauxs and vin yards. Good restaurants can be found within a 15 minute drive. The legendary Loire, listed as World Heritage by Unesco is the europes's last untamed river. Tuffeau stones and slate have lent their nuances to the somptuous buildings that stand on its banks. Discover the chateaux, Renaissance homes, medieval fortresses: kings, artists and authors all had the right idea. Saulmur, angers, Brissac, Chenonceaux, Amboise, Chinon, Tours...all of these references to the past make the Loire an out-of-ordinary river.
The very highly regarded vineyards of Coteau-xdu-Layon, Anjou-Brissac, Saumur-Champigny, Chinon, Vouvray, are within easy access and local growers are always very pleased to welcome visitors for a tasting.
