There's not many houses that give you lagoon views, a 5 minute stroll into the village and keeps the beach and the cliff top walk within a 10 minute stroll Our house has been a labour of love - it had been unlived in for a couple of years and despite only being a few years old, was badly in need of some TLC. We spent out first few holidays knocking down concrete outhouses, filling skips with rubbish and being up to our eyeballs in to do lists. Finally, a big lick of paint later and few more plants in the garden and we're ready to share our little slice of Portugal. Hello! We live in Hampshire in the UK, but we're passionate about Portugal and can't wait til we get to live there full time (hopefully not too far away!). Until then, we're happy to share our family home with you so that you too can discover the delights of Portugal's Silver Coast. After many years of owning, staying and renting out an apartment in the busy Algarve, we were looking for an area that was a little bit calmer and a little bit more "Portuguese". Several weekends of reviewing Google Maps, a few mad round trips up from the Algarve and on the 23rd December 2017 we sat on the seafront overlooking the lagoon and the decided Foz do Arelho was where we wanted our future to be.... We both commute to London so life is a bit frantic, so we get out to Foz every 6 weeks or so because that's where we love to be. Getting there frequently is important to us, not just because we love it, but because we're on a constant mission to keep it updated and maintained so that you love it as much as we do!
