The property is secluded but ideally situated to access Funchal and surrounding areas on foot. It is also close to bus routes for those that do not want to walk. Supermarkets are very close and there are a number of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. The property had all the facilities required for self catering, if needed. The pool area was great and sheltered from the wind. I would certainly recommend the property to anyone wishing to holiday in Madeira.

A beautiful villa set in a peaceful location. The only noise was nature, birds and Cockerel in the distance as well as the local church bells every half hour between 08:00-20:00hrs. We loved this type of noise. Just a small pointer to the agent, a map of the island/local area would be a good addition to the welcome pack, especially the directions to the mini market, Supermarket and Recycling bins. The only other point to make is the TV was in Portuguese, so wasn’t able to navigate it. Some instructions would have been handy. Overall, A very relaxing holiday for us, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had a wonderful 10 days at Casa Flores, the villa was very well equipped, very clean, the maid came twice with fresh bed linen etc. The pool was a real bonus as the weather was very hot, swam every day and most evenings, lovely to sit on the terrace and watch the lights down in Funchal, great sea view. Joy the villa owner is a lovely lady, very helpful and always available if there were any issues (there were none). The villa is a 20 minute walk from the centre of Funchal, all downhill, and if you want to walk back it will take at least twice as long and an uphill slog, there are bus stops 100 yds from the villa, the fare into Funchal is 2 euros. I would definitely recommend this property for a great stay in Madeira, just far enough from the centre of Funchal and easy to drive to from the airport.

Aquarela was perfect; location, amenities, space, views, - I could go on and on. Norberta at check-in was helpful and available for questions throughout our stay. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance and a full-service mercado just a short drive. Don't miss out on this gem. You won't be disappointed.

Our third stay at this stunning location. Home from home with views over the Atlantic ocean and surrounded by banana trees what more could you ask for. We loved the veranda with outside eating area and the extra shower room. The house is quiet, clean and has all necessary facilities. Recommend this renovated house for a peaceful vacation.
