Accommodation is basic but we weren't spending loads of time in the apartment 
There are a lot of steps to the property from one side but if you come out and go to the right past the Mosque it is absolutely fine.
The pool area and view from there is great.  Nice and quiet and other residents very friendly 
John, the owner was very helpful and replied to emails really quickly, we had a couple of small issues when we arrived that were taken care of very promptly
I would make a small suggestion of a little welcome pack explaining how to work boiler
And a couple of quilts for colder nights
Property is in a perfect location for everything
Great little place called Harry's Bar not far from flat, great for breakfast and snacks, very friendly 
My son and his friend were very taken with all the tortoises in the surrounding gardens

My mother and I have rented various apartments at Hisar Ridge for the last five years and usually have wonderful holidays...unfortunately this year we were left seriously disappointed by the facilities and completely let down by the owner of this apartment.

On arrival, we were surprised at the
condition of the complex, the pool area had clearly not been maintained for some time. On the first day we actually had to tidy the pool area ourselves, sweeping and collecting rubbish in and out of the pool.
We are not fussy tourists, who complain for no reason and we always make the best of things but when nobody came to clean the pool for the first week of our stay and it eventually turned green I informed Golden Properties (who I believed maintained the complex). When I was informed by Golden Properties that they no longer maintained the pool, I messaged the apartment owner via WhatsApp.
I discovered, that due to some issues between the apartment owners and Golden Properties, a couple who lived on the complex were now responsible for paying a man to maintain the pool. The owner of our apartment said we should approach them about the problem.

This put us in a very difficult position as we had to knock on their door to address the pool issue. We felt uncomfortable confronting them about the problem as it really wasn't our job as holidaymakers. 
Despite our efforts, the pool remained green for two more days, leaving us no choice but to go out in resort when really, we had come on holiday to relax by the pool.
After two days, the pool was then cleaned but we soon discovered that it was
just a one off and nobody was coming back. After a few days of no maintenance the pool was bright green and  absolutely filthy once again.

Altogether, myself and my mother had almost a week of an unusable pool. 
As a family, we have had a very difficult year and were so looking forward to a time of relaxation. Instead we had to deal with problems, stress and confrontation. By the end of our stay we couldn't wait to leave.

Disagreements between apartment owners at Hisar Ridge concerning pool maintenance should not affect the stay of the people who holiday there. 
To add insult to injury, the owner who rented us our apartment stopped replying to my messages on WhatsApp while we were on holiday, leaving us feeling isolated and totally unsupported for the final five days we were there. He continued to read all my messages but just totally ignored them.

We heard nothing from him on our return and it was not until I messaged the company we booked through (Click-stay) that we received any reply from him.

In the email we finally received two weeks later from him, he seemed to take no responsibility for our experience and essentially just repeated that the couple who lived on the complex we're responsible. There was clearly an ongoing argument between the owners of the complex about who's responsibility pool maintenance was but he didn't seem to have any empathy or understanding that arguments between owners should not be the problem of paying guests! 

For added insult his "gesture of goodwill" amounted to £50 for each of us. This amount was supposed to compensate for a week of no pool while being forced to confront people and become involved in arguments on the complex.

I declined this gesture, which I explained didn't even come close to covering the extra expense of going out during the week we had no pool. We had not budgeted for this and had to withdraw money to cover ourselves. In my opinion, this amount does not make up for a ruined week of somebody's well earned holiday and rather than accept his 'gesture of silence' I would rather warn other holidaymakers so that they can avoid being caught in the same dire situation.

We were told by someone who knows the complex very well that the pool is only cleaned when owners are staying there, I have mentioned this because I imagine the owner of the apartment we stayed in will claim that this problem has now been resolved, but beware as this is known to be an reoccurring issue at Hisar Ridge.

On top of this, while we were there, an apartment on the complex was being sub let to locals who invite all their friends up to the apartment to use the pool, even on days when they themselves are not there. 
So on days when the pool was clean, we shared it with extremely inconsiderate, loud and intimidating non-residents. They also played rave music extremely loudly every night. 

When Golden Properties maintained Hisar Ridge, it was always beautifully kept and we have had many wonderful holidays there. Unfortunately, we would no longer recommend staying at the complex due to it's haphazard style of maintenance...not to mention an owner who is lacking in sympathy and abundantly rude to the holidaymakers he is more than happy to take money from.
