We had a lovely stay at the Villa Izgrev despite the weather being unseasonably damp for the time of year! Fantastic location for Albena, Golden Sands and Varna and a couple of hours from Nessebar. An interesting area that is undoubtedly ‘on the up’. Great Villa, large rooms with good views. I would suggest it’s perfect for families with older children – 8 years and above – rather than toddlers. It is well equipped, and the owners live next door so are always on hand if you have any issues. The owners are great, particularly as we arrived at 00:15 and they waited up for us – they respect your space whilst being there to provide advice. Note to any travellers coming in from Romania – you must have the official car documents or else they will not allow you across the border (hence our 00:15 arrival as we had to travel back to Bucharest to collect them and drive back!)
