Wonderful home on a narrow old street in the center of the village of Arhanes, right next door to a bakery, and a short walk down the street to the center of the village.  The home has a cool sunny pool, just like pictured, a nicely appointed kitchen, clothes washer, air conditioning, tv, music, bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, and was professionally cleaned before and once again during our stay. It was a very fun and comfortable place to stay for the seven people in our extended family.

The owners of the home are an olive-producing family in the area who also run two (bigger) hotels.  They personally welcomed us when we arrived and also the day we left, and they were happy to tell us all about olive-production and about we could do when visiting Crete.   

The village is small and quiet (streets are very narrow, electricity went out once), yet it has a very busy town square that was bustling with activity after 6pm, with great restaurants, lots of folks gathering young and old.  We loved the food at the restaurant Bakaliko (very friendly owner, very creative menu).  We enjoyed shopping for produce at quiet little groceries to cook a bit ourselves, and we got a chance to meet several chatty friendly people in town.

You need to rent a car (for our big party we rented two small cars) to get around.  Arriving by car first day the narrow streets were a bit intimidating to us - you want your car to be small - but after a day we figured out where things are and began to feel a bit like Cretans.  Of course during our stay we drove around to beaches and Heraklion and also visited the big palace of Knossos, but right in Arhanes there are some old Minoan ruins just up the hill from the house!  It's wonderful to just walk around the narrow old streets and live in the town.

We had a great time - highly recommended.

Hatten in der Villa "Electra" einen wunderschönen Urlaub mit unsere Familie. Die Villa ist sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber, alle 2 Tage wurde sauber gemacht, einmal die Woche wurden die Betten neu bezogen und die Handtücher gewechselt. John (Hausmeister) steht für alle Fragen und Wünsche offen, brachte uns sogar einmal
das Frühstück in die Villa.
Der Pool und die Aussicht auf`s Meer sind atemberaubend.  Zur kleinen Bucht ist man zu Fuß  10 Min. und per Auto 4 Min. unterwegs, es lohnt sich, überhaupt nicht
überlaufen, einfach schön.
Da wir einen Mietwagen hatten, konnten wir alles schnell erreichen.
Unser Meinung nach ist die Villa "Electra" die schönste der 3 Villen, da sie die schönste Gartenanlage hat.
Eine kleines Minuspünktchen ist der Verkehrslärm von der Straße her, ist aber verkraftbar und minimal.
Auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen, traumhaft.

the place was very nice and clean
we very much appreciated having sugar,oil,vinegat etc at our disposal.   this made our stay more comfortable
this is a very nice homy house and very good location to go to Knossos or Heraklion
the village is verynice and enjoyable
the two things i would suggest to improve upon are the pillows which are not comformtable at  the next door neigbor who is quite noisy

I appreciated paying everything by credit card before leaving.  this way I did not have to bring cash. and I. did not feel the owners were being unlawful

if you want a house in a. village near Knossos this is ideal and a wondreful pace to stay

The villa is correct. Is it essential to have a pleasant stay. The treatment of John, the concierge, was great. We help in all our needs and we did enjoy the food and music typically Greek.
It would be better a more complete and varied breakfast.

Lovely villas, nice touches like pool/beach towels and mosquito plug-ins provided. Giannis is excellent, very helpful and provides a very good breakfast. Slightly away from main town so you will need a car but location is very quiet and has beautiful views. Would definitely return.

The house is very nice. It has three good bedrooms, a nicely equipped kitchen, and a great pool. The view is fantastic.

Its a great setup for six people. Additional people can sleep in the living room or outside, but it would be a bit crowded.

Shower curtains would be a good addition, so that the floor doesnt get all wet every time somebody bathes. Also, a mirror on the sharp turn on the road leading up to the house would be helpful, so that the drivers could know if somebody is coming the other way.

We would go back there and recommend it to friends.

The villa was exactly as depicted/described, and the owners were a super graceful and helpful couple. We loved the house, the pool, and the surroundings. We spent wonderful nights dining on great greek food at the plaza nearby, surrounded by locals. I was particularly touched by how the owners provided a wide range of extras like some food/drinks, sun block, body washes, lotions, etc. This was unexpected (many rentals dont give you any of this at all), and highly appreciated. The house was about 30 mins from Heraklion and Ligaria beach, were we spent most of the week scuba diving. A fabulous place all in all!

Highly recommend. Great location - Crete is a large island, so central location lets you get to sights and activities all around. Local beach/town of Bali is lovely. House itself has phenomenal view, great amenities. John was really helpful both with our trip planning and while we were there. Breakfast and housekeeping services were excellent.

We - my wife and two children - both 6 years old - had a great stay here. The house had everything we needed - both inside and outside :)

Eleni &amp; Jiannis where excellent hosts, always there to help with anything - including answering on SMS which beach to go to....and not to mention picking us up in the middle of the night when we arrived and did not manage to find the right road to the villa.

The villa it self is situated in a very small village, quit and nice, although we could have hoped for a few more restaurants. I loved it, my wife loved it and also our children. We are looking forward to coming back to this place again.
