We have just had a wonderful week staying at Casa Tog. The property is located in a very quiet rural location with a few neighbouring properties, if it weren't for the crickets there is barely a sound at night. The property is spacious and well-equipped with all the advertised facilities. The pool is just the right size for a family, and was a very welcome solution to the heat of the day! The nearby village of Valor has good facilities for basic needs, and the local town of Ujigar can fulfil most other requirements. A hire car is absolutely essential for this property, and the roads are not for the feint-hearted.
Overall the property exceeded our expectations and we would recommend it to anyone who is looking for relaxation and peace and quiet with space to enjoy

This place is unbelievably good. I came for a week in March with my 6 month old baby and had a blissful time. Morning feeds on the terrace looking out over the mountains were really memorable. In late March everything is a luscious green and covered in blossom. There's everything you need in the cottage and the woodburner is easy to use and cosy at night. I had wondered if it might feel a bit scary being alone there at night as it's a fair way out of the village, but there are 3 other houses within 100 metres so it's not scary at all. It's the best of both worlds, because although there are neighbours it still feels really private and remote due to the way the houses are positioned. Ginny was a lovely host, providing a cot and high chair for the baby and not complaining when I turned up several hours late (bear in mind that Clickstay's suggested route from Malaga, where you come off the motorway at Motril and drive along the mountain roads, is absolutely beautiful but takes a long time as the roads are very windy). Walking down the hill to collect fizzy spring water from the spring was a highlight. I'll definitely be coming back here if I can.

Wow! We loved our stay here at Casa Verde. The location is stunning with uninterrupted views of the mountains and valleys. The ever changing views at sunset are spectacular with the shadows and colours continually changing. Hosts Terry and Ginny are lovely though we really only saw them on arrival as they left us to enjoy the tranquility of this gem. The local village is picturesque with ample bars and restaurants which provide a warm Spanish welcome. The property itself is completely self contained with everything you need for a comfortable stay, extremely clean and well thought out. In the height of summer air conditioning would have been welcome, particularly at night but the shade of the fruit trees on the terrace and the fabulous pool was lovely during the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend to our friends and would love to revisit Casa Verde.

We stayed at Casa Tog for two weeks in August 2016,there was four adults and one child in are party.The villa has everything needed for a self catering holiday.The pool was excellent and was used daily by us all.The terrace has plenty of space and lots of shaded area which was needed in the heat of the day.The villa was plenty big enough to accommodate us all and having the benefit of two bathrooms was a bonus.Ginny and Terry who look after the villa were always there if we needed them and were a great help if we needed any advice on places to eat etc.Overall we had a great holiday and if your looking for a peaceful holiday then we would recommend this villa.

Lovely cortijo, well-equipped, in a very beautiful spot. The pool was perfect in the hot weather, and the shady terrace was welcome.
Easy 15minute walk to the village of Valor for supplies, or a visit to restaurants and bars.
Many great walks, and amazing mountain drives in the surrounding Alpujarras.
Thoroughly recommend this place to decompress from modern life and recharge your energy.

Ginny and Terry were the perfect hosts.Availble very quicly when needed,  friendly and helpful leaving you undisturbed if that is what you prefer. 
A beautiful  peaceful location with only a 20 min stroll into the village if you wish to eat out or need basic supplies. 
The Finca was laid out perfectly for a couple with all that you would need for a relaxing holiday with stunning mountain views that we never tired of taking in.
One of our best self catering holidays and will definitely be back in the future.

Casa Tog is a beautiful villa set in a stunning location with views looking down from the mountainside. It is both clean, spacious and the outside pool and terrace are fabulous. The property has all the mod cons a family could need, including Wifi, TV etc. The villa is just outside of the lovely town of Valor. Very little English is spoken in the area but we managed to make ourselves understood, (a phrase book was useful) the local residents are friendly and it feels like you get a flavour of the real Spain. The coast is a little over an hours drive away and the city of Granada is well worth a visit. Ginny and Terry, the owners were welcoming and were on hand if needed. Definitely a place we hope to return to one day.

This is a fantastic villa in a great area. We stayed just over a week and loved every minute in the pool, the local village, the nearest town, the hills and exploring the extraordinary area. The facilities are excellent and we really felt away from it all and none of us (including our 3 year old daughter) were bored for a single minute. It is quite a drive from Malaga airport but worth it. The local agents were outstanding the warmth of the welcome, the instructions, the help when needed were all wonderful. We will be back and would not hesitate recommending this cortijo.

The first thing to hit you about this place, other than the fantastically steep approach to the house, is the incredible views from the front of the property.  The photos do NOT do this property justice and we never tired of staring out over the mountains, the view is amazing!  The second thing that made our holiday was Lotte and Josh, Ginny &amp; Terrys two wonderful dogs, they were a bonus addition to our trip, being dog lovers and kept us company throughout most of the week, although never entering the property unless invited.  Ginny &amp; Terry were the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome whilst at the same time giving us complete privacy.  The pool, was a short walk from the property, and was a very welcome place to cool off from the summer sun.  The local villages are a short and easy drive away, with our favourite being Ugijar, which we returned to for fresh supplies of meat, cheese, bread and cheap vino.  The butchers counter in Komo Komo was very very good indeed, we would recommend the Chorizo!.  Ginny recommended a drive through the villages, taking in Portugos, Trevelez and Pampaneira, which we did, it was a fantastic day out with a very entertaining drive on the mountain roads.  We would recommend the shopping in Pampaneira which also has a great bakery.  The only downside to our trip was that it was only for one week, not two!!  Thank you again G&amp;T!

What can I say about just how idyllic this place is without sounding 
over the top? The photos, lovely as they are, dont actually do justice 
to the reality.We wanted an away from it all holiday, comfort, able to 
look after ourselves, but with the luxury of wifi so we could keep in 
touch (and gloat) to friends worldwide, totally private pool, top end 
patio and terrace furniture and bbq.The views from the terrace patio 
are wonderful, the layout and set up of the villa was totally to my 
taste, and my husband was mesmerised by the wood burning stove as the evenings got a little chillier. He is now a complete expert in building 
and maintaining wood fires. Handy skill to have back in the UK and 
smokeless zone Sunderland...The location is exactly what you want if 
your preference is for beautiful scenery, little rustic villages and 
towns, local tapas bars and restaurants. On our last evening we drove a few kilometres to a local restaurant/hotel and had a fabulour meal with wine, beers, wonderful service, for less than £40. On another night our villa owners Ginny and Terry treated us to a goat curry which even beat my sister-in-laws. Sorry Amanda. All in all this is the perfect 
location for anyone who wants to get out of the rat race for a weekend 
or a month, savour rural Spain, and feel luxuriously pampered in a 
green environment. Solar panels, a natural spring dating from Roman 
times at the end of the track, (choice of four waters but Id avoid the 
iron one) friendly people, cheery dogs Lottie and Josh making you feel 
wanted. We were a little bit scared by the steep driveway on the day we arrived - by the second day we were tackling it with no problems and a definite joi de vivre in our rented Fiat 500. If a car that small can 
make it, it shouldnt have been any surprise that the log wagon managed it no problem. Ill recommend this to lots of friends - had a 
marvellous break.
