we had a very nice stay at this villa.
A problem encountered was that the golf course was undergoing a heavy topdressing proces during this week.
we observed the possibillity for dining/eating at the pool area for difficult due to a limited space around the pool itself.


the villa is very well-situated for a golf vacation.

Quite superb!! 
We booked for only a few days but we wished we'd spent all our holiday here! 
The villa was spotlessly clean and well maintained with everything we could have wished for...the pool was lovely.
The golf 'on site' was excellent and everyone so friendly.
Very easy to get to all the big attractions...what more could we want?
We will definitely be back!

just returned from spending a week in Orlando. there was a group of 6 of us. this is the second time i have stayed on the Southern Dunes site. i tend to agree with the previous reviews - the villa is extremely clean, neat and tidy. a good size pool and a superb location overlooking the third green. 

Southern Dunes itself, is well located around 15/20 mins from the Disney parks and the golf course on site is a great test (i would also recommend Diamonback golf club). there is a Wal-mart outside the main gate to the complex along with a host of fast food restaurants. we also found a steak house called Mannys less than half a mile down US27 (left out of the main gate). fabulous food!!

however, having said all this, there was one fairly major problem with the villa for us. the air conditioning will not dro p below 75 degrees. this made sleeping on a night almost unbearable with the heat and humidity in Florida. there are notes from the management company explaining the reasons for this. this is just our personal opinion though.

this was a real shame for us as everything else was fantastic. however, if you dont mind sleeping in a warm bedroom or if you visit Florida outside the summer months then i would highly recommend this property.
