Our family stayed at Villa Soleil for Christmas and New Year, 6 adults and 3 children and had a fantastic time. The presentation of the villa was excellent. It doesn't sound much but personal touches like a tube of toothpaste in each bathroom and extra soap make a difference. The Villa is spotlessly clean and was well maintained by the cleaners during our stay. It is situated near the end of a quiet street (lane really) the location on arrival seems a bit out of the way but as soon as you start getting around you realise how central it is to everything, only 5-10 mins to Fisherman's Village or Chaweng. There is a local store at the bottom of the street for essentials like cold beer, ice and water and close by is a laundry and any number of restaurants.
Lynn the villa manager does a great job and is nearby for any problems, like a broken cot which was replaced within the hour. We've been to Samui before and stayed at other Villas in different parts of Thailand but Villa Soleil is the best by far, It is a great size for families, has a full kitchen, even has a coffee maker.
I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a trouble free relaxing holiday.

This is a lovely villa, very private and quiet and from the moment we arrived, we felt totally relaxed and at home.  The fixtures and fittings are of a very high standard and the decor throughout is superb.  The kitchen is very well equipped with every sort of utensil you can think of.   A barbeque would have been an added bonus.  There are so many great finishing touches, from the complimentary books in the hallway to the lighting in the swimming pool and surrounding garden area.    

The only small problem for us (having teenage children) was that there was a fault with the Wi Fi in the area so it did not work for our two week stay.

All in all we really cannot fault anything.  We would definitely recommend this villa and would stay again if we have the chance.

Please note this property is currently offered for sale by the owner, thus it lacks the attention or investment of a long term committed landlord, understandably.  Essentially cosmetically all looks well, good design and fit out. However, if you are considering a booking it would be wise to know that this villa is serviced by a 2000ltr water tank. We are a family of four, 2 adults, 2 under 7yr olds and depleted the tank within 4 days by just having a shower each in the evening plus flushing the wc as and when. The shortage manifested itself by me being showered in slurry after just finishing showering the kids. The local management team (English) resolved the shortage by an urgent resupply, however, the owner emailed me that evening to advise firstly we had exceeded the usual use for a week and secondly perhaps consider reducing our consumption. (A refill costs between 250-400bht, around £5-£8.00. So in the scheme of a booking, not at all expensive). Bear in mind this is advertised as a 6 birth villa with 3 bathrooms, do not book if you feel it necessary to shower frequently whilst staying in a tropical climate. Also worth noting, the basins to each bathroom are only fed by a cold feed, thus if you wish to have have hot / warm water you will need to boil a kettle. The owner believes this is typical on the island and I agree for  properties not featured as Luxury. All previous villas we have stayed in had a local water heater servicing the basins. So if you want warm water, you will need to shower, but then you are penalised by the woefully lacking capacity tank.
Dont let any of this put you off booking as everything else is as advertised, but I believe this is essential information to consider prior to booking. I did get an apology for the inconvenienced experienced from the owner but the following morning. If cost of re supply is a factor, please consider offering the guests that option.

Its a really nice place to stay.  The view over the bay  is beautiful and the house is clean and spacious.  The children really liked the swimming pool.  We had a very pleasant stay !

My wife and I spent 2 weeks at this villa in September and really enjoyed our stay.  We had stayed at Plumeria Place previously in a different property so knew exactly what to expect with regards to location, and had pre-booked some transport before arrival.  New visitors however need to be aware that although there are several restaurants and bars within walking distance in Bangrak some form of transport is needed to reach the more popular spots such as Bophut (2 miles), Choeng Mon (4 miles) and Chaweng (6 miles).  The villa itself was very comfortable with the master bedroom, guest bedrooms, living room nad kitchen all gathered around the centrally located pool.  The living room was well furnished and comfortable with sofas/chairs and an excellent TV/DVD system with UBC satellite channel access (BBC World, CNN etc).  The kitchen (across the open air atrium) was reasonably equipped with oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer and a selec tion of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils etc.  There was however no washing machine as detailed, although this was not an issue given that mny local houses take in washing very cheaply.  The master bedroom was wonderfully located with access directly out onto the swimming pool. Again this room was very comfortable with a low platform bed, plus large TV/DVD at the foot of the bed.  We did not use the guest bedrooms although these were of a similar comfortable standard both upstairs and down, the upstairs room having a balcony with super views across Bangrak bay to Big Buddha and beyond.  Overall cleanliness was excellent with the maid service every 3 days ensuring standards are maintained.  In terms of expectations the villa met these almost completely, although we were a little disappointed that the covered Sala in the garden did not have any furniture and there was therefore nowhere, other than sitting on the sunbeds around the pool, to enjoy an aperitif or eating outside.  For a villa of this standard in this location this is something that should really be rectified by the owner to attract future visitors.  We were also a little concerned that most of the sunbed cushions were very worn and quite badly torn in several cases, something that very little expense by the owner could put right very quickly.  On the plus side we had none of the hot water issues or otherwise that the previous reviewer mentioned.  These points considered I would nevertheless still say the villa was excellent value for money, especially if the cost is shared between a group of 6, who would all be very comfortably accommodated.  I would not however recommend use of 4th maids bedroom for visitors as this is separately located behind the kitchen and a little remote.  Samui Escapes, who manage the villa, provided an excellent service as ever (especially Adul), and although always on hand if needed were never intrusive and we were very much left to enjoy our stay in private.  We did not use the chef service so cant comment on this.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this villa.  We did at times feel that it maybe seemed a little soul-less, rather than lived-in, but this perhaps is the signature of a property bought and owned specifically as a rental property rather than someones holiday home.  Again, a small amount of attention by the owner to hang some pictures and add a few personal touches would help with this and make the property more attractive to future bookings.

The property itself was great, the staff were super friendly &amp; really ultra helpful... The beds, they were a little hard. 
However, I think the owners should have given us a little more information about the location, or even emailed us the information pages that were sitting on the coffee table when we arrived. We were supposed to be collected from the ferry, but there were some communication problems, as the contact phone numbers that I was given did not answer or did not seem to be connected. So there was a big delay in us actually getting to the villa.
But besides this bad start, the entire rest of our stay was wonderful. We even stayed an extra night we liked it so much!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights in Plumeria Place. I felt it was very good value for money and although it didnt exceed my expectations I was very pleased with the villa, it was perfect for our small group of 2 couples.

The location was good, it was close to the airport and the Fishermans village so lots of restaurants nearby. I would recommend hiring a car as it wasnt expensive and so much easier than arranging taxis.

I was slightly disappointed with the cleanliness of the villa when we first arrived, the floors didnt feel very clean, and there was a used razor and empty shampoo bottles left over from the last holidaymakers. If the place was slightly cleaner I would have been 100% happy with our choice of accommodation however as it was I was probably about 90% happy, still pretty good but could have been better... its easily solved though!

The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and relaxed, they left us alone the whole time, however we knew where they were if we needed them. 

I would recommend it to a friend, in fact I have already done so and I have only been back for 3 days!

I would like to thank Karen, Andy and Chloe and all their Thai staff for their warm hospitality, the excellent service and the idyllic accommodation.

You gave us the holiday of a lifetime.  Speaking for myself, I very much doubt that the experience will ever be exceeded.

As you know this was a special occasion, being Maureens and my 20th wedding anniversary.  You gave us the opportunity to reinvigorate the bonds that tie us together as a family.  

The children thoroughly enjoyed experiencing another culture and Maureen and I had the chance to relax - really for the first time in 20 years.  To do so for almost 2 weeks was an unimaginable luxury.  Yet the unimaginable happened.

Plumeria Place certainly exceeded our expectations. Located on a small development between Bophut and Bangrak, the property itself was very well maintained and had all the facilities that we needed for a relaxing holiday.  The kitchen was very well equipped for all meals if needed, with a microwave oven/grill, hob, dishwasher and all the cutlery/crockery needed, whilst the dining and lounge areas were very comfortable with dining table/chairs/sofa, a large LCD TV with WiFi, SurroundSound DVD, and Satellite TV.  All bedrooms were spacious, and the view from the upstairs master bedroom across the palms to the sea and Koh Phangan in the distance was simply stunning to wake up to.  The downstairs bedrooms were also very well presented, and the shared ensuite would be particularly practical to parents with children who they like to have in an adjacent room. Outside we particularly enjoyed the Sala which having a ceiling fan, low tables and seating for 6 gave us a shady area in which to enjoy breakfast or an afternoon nap out of the sun.  The swimming pool was very well maintained, having steps at both ends, a constant depth of about 4 6" throughout, and underwater lighting at night for safety and atmosphere.  If we had any advice at all it would be to advise that visitors arrange some form of transport to enjoy their stay fully.  Whilst Plumeria Place is within walking distance of a number of restaurants, bars etc in Bangrak, other places such as Bophut village and Chaweng certainly need transport to reach.  The development itself has onsite security, both at the gate, and on patrol, so although being in a quiet area we always felt safe and secure.  Overall we had a wonderful stay here, and were very sorry to leave - although well hopefully be back soon.

Very nice Villa with an excellent view.  Shared pool not private as advertised.  Very steep hill to Villa some tour companies would not come up to the Villa so if you do not hire a car you would need a good Taxi service.
