We had a lovely stay. The apartment was excellent, clean and modern, it has a balcony where you can eat and take in the views. Adrian was welcoming and very helpful. The town of Cetona itself is a hidden gem and is a great base to explore Tuscany and Umbria from. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week.

Hi many thanks for your review

We have just passed a wonderful week at 'Casa Degli Olivi' It is a veritable home from home. Clean, extremely well equipped (what you do not have Adrian or Fabio will provide for you) deceptively spacious with ample storage space. One or two people have written about the traffic noise - so I must address this point. Yes the villa is next to a 'moderately' busy country road leading to the village, but traffic tends to be in the morning when people are going to work and again in the evening (some also at lunch time). This was mainly just cars, the odd scooter ad occasional bus or bin wagon and was not a problem - the sounds that I have brought home in my memory are those of the crickets and doves and the cockerel in the garden we could hear wen sitting on te terrace looking out over the gorgeous Tuscan countryside......... Cetona is delightful and unspoilt and friendly and there are two very nice restaurants, a couple of café bars where you can hang out with the locals, and aso a weekly (?twice weekly) market. The apartment is in a prime position for reaching the main auto strada and main line train line to both Florence and Rome, and Sienna, San Gimignamo, Montelupciano and Cortona are a comfortable drive away. The guys welcomed us with a bottle of both their red and white wine and their excellent olive oil, and eggs still warm from the hen! The garden is bursting with olives and grapes and tomatoes and peppers and plums and pears - and all manner of other delicious home produced produce - even honey made from bees who gather their nectar from sunflowers....... Personally we cannot wait to return - Thank you so much for your wonderful generosity in every sense of the word

What a fantastic experience in the Italian countryside. Two weeks tucked away from tourist mayhem. Even prior to our departure from the Middle East to start our holiday, the owners answered all our enquiries quickly, efficiently with sound advice. The accommodation was as described and perfect, and more than fulfilled our requirements. The property is centrally located to so many places of interest and if required close to rail if wanting to adventure further a field. The owners are very friendly and are able to supply lovely fresh farm produce, of which many a meal was made and enjoyed while seated on the balcony overlooking the valley to distant hills. Local environs offered great opportunities to further experience true Italian food, wine, culture and friendliness. We both would highly recommend a stay at Casa Degli Oliveli.

We had a lovely stay with very helpful and friendly hosts. The apartment is relatively basic but none the worse for it - clean, well maintained and fairly priced. There is a nearby road at the front of the property, which isnt very busy but if you slept with the windows open then you may hear the odd moped... such are the trials of Italy! It is a beautiful area to explore, but also well situated as a base for travelling further afield, being nearby to Chiusi and the mainline railway.

We have recently returned from a two week holiday based at Casa degli Olivi. Of course, before booking we read the reviews which were all very good and a reflection of the warm hospitality and cosy , immaculately clean standard of the accommodation which has lovely views over the Tuscan countryside. The property owners, Adrian and Fabio make you feel so welcome and obviously enjoy sharing, at a very small cost ,the fruits of their land we enjoyed the mellow wine, delicious olive oil and fresh eggs daily, as well as other seasonal fruits, vegetables and home made passata which is all organic. Yummy. We had left our beloved dogs at home, so were delighted when we found that the owners had an 8 month old puppy who is such a lovely natured and playful creature. It would be a real shame if anyone was put off by her breed which is an American Staffordshire> dogs are a product of their owners who in this case are very responsible caring animal lovers who are training her very well. She was therapy for us. We travelled widely, and a car is needed to make the most of the area which is quite simply stunning. The village of Cetona itself is very pretty with the friendliest of people. We loved our mornings visits to the village bakery for the most delicious breads, pastries and Italian specialities, and leisurely evenings over a traditional Tuscan meal in some very nice restaurants. We have stayed at some fancy hotels but not enjoyed it half so much as the simple, warm and perfectly relaxing holiday we have enjoyed here and of course the location for visiting some of the most beautiful places we have seen. The lack or aircon during very hot weather was assisted by the provision of a fan, especially welcome at night. We will always look back on a memorable holiday and hope we can return. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to taste La Dolce vita for a little while... Wonderful....thank you Adrian and Fabio

We enjoyed a really lovely few days at the Casa Degli Olivi. The apartment was clean and had all amenities that we required. The owner, Adrian was also really helpful and kindly printed out train times for us to go to Florence. He had also thoughtfully provided us with some basic groceries from the farm and must say that the olive oil was especially good! Overall, we would recommend staying here as a good base for exploring the southern and central Tuscany area or just for a relaxing break but would recommend hiring a car to get around. Really good value for money too.
