About

We have holidayed on Crete with our two sons for over 15 years. In 2006, we made a snap decision to realise on a more permanent basis the advantages of spending more time on this fascinating island. We found an English developer in Agios Nikolaus who had in his portfolio plans to build two villas in the outskirts of Elounda. We took the plunge and spent the next 12 months watching the villa materialise, from an excavation in the hillside to a well-structured property and garden area overlooking picturesque Elounda. We cant believe how successful this enterprise turned out and cannot wait until we can spend more time living in the villa. In the meantime, we decided to offer the property for rent by those with similar interests. We hope that guests enjoy the spectacular natural surroundings and sample the simple, Cretan culture. When we visit the villa now it feels like coming home and we are looking forward to spending more time there in future.

Really loved the location and the amazing views over Elounda. We had a great stay. The villa is within walking distance of the old village where there are Tavernas for food and drinks and you can certainly walk into Elounda but it's a bit of a walk back up the hill. We made good use of the pool as the weather was very hot but the beaches around Elounda and Plaka were beautiful and not too busy. Plenty of shops in Elounda for supplies and plenty of great places to eat. We had a perfect holiday.

I was booking this home for my parents and younger brother. They really enjoyed their stay, and my wife and I also came to visit them a few times. The view is stunning.

We had a fantastic holiday with our 2 teenage daughters. The villa is just as described, it is very well equipped, the bedrooms are comfortable and the air conditioning is a godsend! It was very quiet, not overlooked and had great views. Its a great base from which to explore eastern Crete. The pool was great and Colin came 3 times in 2 weeks to maintain it, he was a great source of knowledge and made great suggestions for places to visit and eat. He also used to live in the village next to us!! Sarah came with clean towels and bed linen twice which was great and more than we expected. There are also a great selec tion of books, cds and dvds...Id forgotten how much I like Rick Astley!! The villa is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Elounda and yet close enough to walk down and then back up burning off any excess calories (even our teenage daughters didnt complain too much). The restaurants and bars in Elounda and nearby Plaka offered a varied choice and we didnt have a poor meal in our 2 weeks there. Our only regret is that we didnt try the taverna Pano Elounda. A fantastic holiday was had by all, we would definitely recommend it!

If you are looking for the ultimate de-stress holiday this one is perfect. The villa location is excellent if you are looking for a bit of peace and quiet. The main harbour (restaurants, bars ect) is about a 15 minute walk downhill, however unless you are super fit a cab is nessacary to get home, only about 5 euros. The villa exceeded our expectations as it truly felt like a home form home with everything you need. The owners really have made it comfortable with a good selec tion of books , DVDs and music to keep you entertained. The kitchen is fully functional with almost every appliance you could wish for even down to the little things like sharp knives, garlic crusher ect (not things you normally get in a rental villa). The bedrooms are air conditioned (godsend) . The pool is just about right ,not too deep if you have children. You do need to be able to drive so that you can get around. What more can I say other than I will definately make a return visit and reccommend to family and friends.

The villa was clean and well kept and met all our expectations. The location looking over Elounda was superb. The only negative was the shortage of water storage. For several days we did not receive water from the mains, which meant that water had to be syphoned from the swimming pool - not ideal. The swimming pool albeit on the small side was fine, although it did require frequent cleaning.
