We stayed at Villa Gluscevic for a week in July as a family group of 4 adults. The villa is beautifully situated right on the edge of the sea, with a wonderful view from the large terrace and the the scenery of the surrounding area is fabulous, with stunning coastal, mountain and river valley views.. The property is well furnished and equipped with its own bathing platform for swimming and sunbathing. There is a shingle beach 2 minutes walk away - this was very crowded when we were there and we didnt use it - with a small supermarket and a couple of unremarkable restaurant/bars, although there is a much nicer family-run restaurant at the other end of the bay with a terrace overlooking the sea. The nearest large supermarkets and ATMs are about 20 mins drive away. We enjoyed visits to the historic towns of Mostar and Mali Ston during our stay - Dubrovnik is about 90 mins drive from the property. The owners live below the villa - they speak excellent English and were friendly and helpful. Id recommend Villa Gluscevic for a quiet holiday in a wonderful setting. A couple of suggestions - an information sheet with details of local shops, restaurants and attractions would be a good idea, as would some lighting on the rather steep steps from the parking area to the house. Otherwise no complaints - we had a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday here.

We enjoyed our week here very much - aided by some wonderful weather! The main attractions of this property are the waterfront location and the large balcony. Its hard to beat waking up every morning to the sound of waves gently lapping! We spent most of our time on the balcony which has a 6-seater dining table, sunloungers and uninterrupted views across the bay. Everything was clean and well presented on arrival, and the owner, Mr Gluscevic, who lives in the apartment below, was welcoming and speaks good English. If I had to pick one negative it would be that the kitchen (open-plan with the indoor living area) isnt particularly modern or well equipped. Klek has 1 pizzeria and 1 hotel restaurant offering more variety, but eating on the balcony at the house is great too. As a location, Klek isnt far from Ston (and Mali Ston) which make a great day out - for those interested in castles and fortifications.

We have just returned from a very relaxing week at Villa Gluscevic. The villa is in a lovely setting with superb views across the bay and only a short stroll into the village which has a few restaurants, two small supermarkets and a beach. The jetty below the property is ideal for lazing on and the beautiful clear water is great for swimming, snorkeling and fishing. The villa was clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The owners were very accommodating and the evening meal which we had with them eating fish caught locally by him was delightful. We had an enjoyable day trip on the boat Lipa Moja along the coast. We flew into Split and took a leisurely drive down along the coast but once we arrived at Klek we didnt feel inclined to venture far as it was so lovely at the villa. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anybody who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday and we hope you love it here as much as we did.

A good sized house with 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and a big covered terrace. The house is built right to the edge of a sea. The host lives on the floor below you, so assistance is always near. You can walk to a nearby gravel beach, or just place yourself on the pier in front of the house if sun and swimming are your thing. You definately need some kind of transportation to move around, even if it is just for going to grocery store. Note that there is a parking place inside the fence surrounding the property, but this can be tricky to navigate into and out, especially with larger vehicles. Fortunately there is room for parking outside the gate on a roadside. The small village of Klek was very quiet in mid-september. There is local store that sells freshly made bread every morning, and has basic food items available. There are two restaurants next to the beach, both are simple and quality of cooking varies a lot for different meals.

The Villa was as we expected, very close (6metres) from calm crystal clear sea. Our accomadation was clean & spacious and our hosts were very pleasant, helpfull and accomadating. They treated us to a fabulous sea food dinner on our last night. They spoke English perfectly well, had two boats, 1 large for day trips and 1 small tender. To take the small one out, a small boat licence is required, which was not made clear before booking. The views from the balcony were spectacular, Klek was tiny with a clean non-sandy beach and a 4/5 minute walk along the side of the bay. We had a delightful week and recommend it for a sightseeing/drive break but not too good for young children. Tips: no loo rolls, fresh milk or sugar on arrival.

This is a very good house in a beautiful location. We were extremely well looked after by the lovely owners and spent a memorable day on the Mipa Loja. The terrace has glorious views of the bay. The house is within walking distance of two local supermarkets and 30 minutes drive of a large supermarket. There are no cashpoints in Klek itself, so its worth using the airport cash machine to stock up and the one at the large supermarket to replenish. Only one restaurant in Klek takes cards - but youll want to eat on the terrace anyway! The waterside terrace is five yards from the house and perfect for diving off. Take snorkels and flippers - the water is so clear and refreshing. I sincerely hope that well be back.

We spent two wonderful weeks at Villa Gluscevic in August with our three children aged 10, 8 and 6. The villa is ideally placed on the edge of the village - beautiful views over the hills and water but only a couple of minutes away from the restaurants and supermarket. Our children spent hours swimming, fishing and snorkelling in the sea below the villa and loved the day spent on the owner's boat Lipa Moja. The villa is simply furnished but has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The owners are very welcoming hosts and were happy to guide us when asked for advice. The fish dinner (freshly caught that day!) we ate with them and the evening meal at one of their friends was delicious. Even the children tucked into the shark, fresh tuna and mussel rissotto with gusto! We happily recommend this lovely villa to everyone. Tim, Kate, Mia, Evie and Angus.
