Our third year now at Adrian villa and another excellent holiday. We arrived at 2am and we were warmly welcomed, the villa was clean and the beds all made up and ready for us to flop into. This year internet (wi-fi) has been added and was greatly appreciated by the kids. The villagers as always were friendly and charming, I never tire of watching the goats and their antics this year we had the added delight of a couple of young donkey foals in the field behind the villa great fun. The area is excellent for all your needs and at £1.95 for a bottle of wine what more could you ask for lol, excellent restaurants less than 30 minutes in either direction absolutely superb villa and region cant wait for next year.

Adrian met us at the airport and we were given very clear instructions (with picture) on how to get to the property which was very useful. On arriving at the house we were provided with some essentials which again a lovely touch. The house itself and its location surpassed our expections, the swimming pool was superb and easily accommodates a grown up family of 5, the house is located in a very quiet and peacefull village in the countryside with excellent views across the hills. We enjoyed watching the donkeys and carts, goats and sheep every morning and afternoon. The location of the property made for easy access to both Balchik and Dobrich and Albena is aslo a short distance away. We had 2 weeks of brilliant sunshine (not one dro p of rain) and 2 weeks of great fun, food and drink. We would highly recommend this villa to everyone! We hope to return again next year.

We flew into Varna and the Villa was a 45 min drive away, we used http://www.bulgariacarrent.com/ as recommended by the owner and had no issues with the car\pick up etc. As has been said by the previous reviews, for the money, this villa was fantastic. We have a 3 and 5 year old and the pool was just the right size, it also has quite a bit of grass to let them run on. There are a few local shops which stock the essentials, but its only 10-12 mins to Kaufland in Dobrich where you can get everything you need. The locals in the village speak little english, but they are really friendly and helpful, its a nice quiet place that seems like youve gone back in time. It definately suits a family holiday, theres loads of donkeys and geese and other animals for the kids to see as you walk around the village streets, you can see the shepherd with his flock of sheep & goats every night as you sit outside on the hammock. One other thing is security, you dont exactly feel as if you need to lock the place up, but you do of course just in case. We screwed up the security system a few times, and these big fellas who looked like bouncers from a london nightclub turned up 5 mins later. No idea how they got there so fast, but it gave you a certain level of confidence in terms of safety. We had a few others small things happen, but we just texted our contact Katya, and they were solved quick as a flash. The one negative is that the villa is air conditioned on the bottom floor but only has fans upstairs, this led to our first week being slightly hot when going to bed\upstairs, but if you open the windows (but keep the flyscreens up) the air gets through and its not too bad. For us, it was the first time to Bulgaria, and to be honest we didnt know what to expect. The roads arent the best in places, and dont think about looking about as you walk the pavements as youll more likely trip over a broken paving slab (esspecially in Dorbich square) but its cheap to eat and drink, the people are nice, the weather is great (32 in the shade when we went in August) and they have countdown clocks on their traffic lights...!!! I cant believe itll be long before people find out about Bulgaria and itll be the new spain, but currently it feels like largely undiscovered gem. Highly recommended, one of our most relaxing holidays to date....!!!

The villa is perfect if you want a get away from it all. It is set in a tiny village so there are no shops, restaurants or bars locally you will have to drive for 20 – 30 min into town to find one. On the other hand all the facilities you need to provide for yourself are there at the Villa including a barbeque which we used every day. The nearest supermarket is in Dobrich about 20min drive, and is easy to find following the directions provided. It is very large and has everything you could want. The villa is set down from the road and is accessed via steep steps. So for anyone with mobility difficulties this may be a problem. Also there is a spiral staircase to the first floor which may also prove difficult. Overall we felt the Villa was very good value and we had a wonderful time.

Dobrich is 7km from the village, it normally takes about 10 minutes to get to shops, bars etc. There is hard standing for vehicles at the bottom of the garden if you want to avoid the steps to the top. There is also a small shop in the village.

This property was in a beautiful rural location and very peaceful. With unlimited use of the vegetable garden we were freely supplied with tomatoes, cucumbers and watermelons. The villa was very well equipped and comfortable. We made good use of the swimming pool and the outside seating area offered much needed shade.

We arrived at the airport and were met by a very nice man from Varna together with the keys he give us some basic instructions on how to operate the alarm system, the directions provided by the owner of how to get to the villa were spot on! On arrival we discovered the welcome pack in the fridge which was most welcome, along with directions on how to find the nearest supermarket. The kitchen was well equiped with everything you could think of. The rooms were clean and tidy, with spare bedding if needed. Lots of towels provided not only for indoor use but by the pool as well. The pool was clean and the pool toys provided were more than adequate for the needs of the party. The gardener came every other day to enusre that the pool was clean and the gardens were tidy, he also provided us with some local information on the area. It would be helpful if instructions could be provided to help get the hire car to the rear of the property, we had to rely on locals who were very helpful. A hire car is a must.

The villa has everything you need for a relaxing and peaceful break. Lovely produce from the well maintained garden, looked after by Peta. Lovely local people in the village, who made us feel very welcome. The nearest town of Dobrich is about 10 mins drive from the villa with excellent restaurants and shops. The scenery around the whole area is lovely. We would rent this villa again due to standards and location.

Turning up in the village in the pitch black after a gruelling nine hour drive from Sofia, not having a clue where to go, then lead down a narrow track not knowing what to expect, the first view of the pool lit up and the large yet homely villa in its huge garden was a big smack of euphoria. There was also slight disbelief that what wed paid for was actually as good as what was in front of our eyes and even the three knackered kids started jumping around and exploring the place. We spent two very happy and relaxed weeks there, slipping in and out of the pool and exploring the coastline which is about a 40 minute drive away. The villa is well equipped and maintained, with loads of great outdoor space to eat and play in. The pool is a massive plus point (though the kids always needed supervision). The village is very rural and sleepy, which suited us. If nightlife is your thing, youll need to drive to Balchik. Highly recommend this villa.

My boyfriend and I have just enjoyed a very relaxing week at the villa. We travelled from Sofia airport (as flights are much cheaper) this is a very long drive, the Bulgarian roads can be challenging and people drive a bit erratic to say the least! We were met at the villa, showed round and tucked in to our welcome pack which was much needed and appreciated. The villa met all expectations, it was clean, modern and well equipped. I would recommend the villa if a relaxing and very quiet holiday is wanted. It is very rural so a car is a necessity to access everything. We spent the week basking in the sun by the pool, drinking beer which is ridiculously cheap and having bbqs, the villa was perfect for that.
