We had a great stay at Howell's Retreat. The villa had everything we needed and in fact exceeded our expectations. The pool is lovely and a perfect temperature. The area is quiet with lots of nature around and felt very safe.

We would have happily stayed another week!

Our stay at the Howell's retreat was very nice. The house was great, and the pool was wonderful. The only negative was, we had no idea how far from things we would be! The property is pretty remote, which if you want privacy, this would be ideal for you. We had to meet our daughter and  family at Disney for a breakfast on two different days, and this required an early and l-o-n-g drive to Orlando. Not anyone's fault, I just didn't realize the distances involved!  We did get in some golf, and the course we played was very nice (the Hills). We liked the beach, and the several options we had for beaches while there. The only other comment I had was to the house guide, which was available to us as a Kindle download. I did find it annoying to have to power on my device every time we needed to look up a number or location. I think a binder with all the info and some maps to local stores, restaurants and beaches would be a great addition to the property, at least for me.

<span style="font-size:8pt;color:#000080;font-family:Verdana;">The properties were very clean and the home was nicely appointed with all the amenities that were stated with nothing left but to enjoy the facilities. It was indeed a home away from home. The Rotonda community was very clean as well and felt safe. The area is laid back with everyone very friendly and helpful in locating area attractions. Although the Engelwood community is not commercialized with places like Disney, there were many events to keep you occupied within a short driving distance. I recommend taking a boat or reserving one in advance for anyone vacationing in that area. It would greatly add to your experience. Overall the vacation and area was excellent. Thanks to the Howells for a great stay. </span>

The salt water pool was very different and we enjoyed it. The only little thing is the pool area does not get much sun so if you want to sun bathe you have to go to the beach. Other than that it was a lovely villa in a very nice area

Beautiful home - well equipped and appointed.  The maps and guides were very helpful and we could not fault the management team for their preparation of the villa and help during the stay.  

We had little visitors every day outside the lanai - the storks and egrets, mocking bird and blue jay.  The crib cards were a great idea for those of us without the bird knowledge.

Thank you for our lovely stay - it was a relaxing break.

    We had an amazing family vacation and loved staying in this wonderful home. The kids enjoyed the pool every day and loved looking for gators in the backyard. It was easy to book, the property management company was quick to resolve any issue we had during our stay and the location was perfect.

    Everything about this holiday home is excellent. Good quality furnishings ,comfortable beds, plenty of kitchen equipment and a superb heated pool. A larger group of six people can enjoy the facilities without anyone feeling less well catered for.There are many extra thoughtful touches eg.2 bicycles ,beach accessories and a great barbecue.This truly is a "home from home" and anyone renting this property is sure to have a wonderful and relaxing holiday.

    This is the second time that we have stayed at this lovely holiday home.  The property is well-situated for access to beautiful sandy beaches on the Gulf Coast and other well-known tourist attractions and coastal towns.  Sarasota is just one hour away and the drive from Tampa International Airport takes approximately one hour and 40 minutes.  There are a number of restaurants and diners, supermarkets and shopping malls within a short driving distance.
    The villa is immaculate, well-furnished and very comfortable.   The kitchen has been well-equipped with a hob, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher and ample cups, plates, cutlery, cooking equipment etc. There are large walk-in wardrobes in each bedroom providing a vast amount of hanging space for clothes and plenty of storage for suitcases, and two of the bedrooms have direct access via patio doors to the poolside where there is a large BBQ and outside table and chairs.  The pool was always warm, clean and well-maintained.
    The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into furnishing and equipping this amazing property and there is everything you could possibly need for a quiet, relaxing holiday.
