As we were not in the UK we were anxious about gaining access on arrival.
Communication with the owner was very poor and eventually we were told on arrival, to go to the pool bar as they had been told to open the gates to the complex and we could get the keys from the key lock on the front door of the apartment. As expected when I asked at the bar no one knew what I was talking about!! Luckily for us a family were entering the complex and let us in.
As we have stayed many times in this complex, in various apartments, we knew what to expect but we were very disappointed with the facilities.
In the bathroom the water ran constantly in the wc, only 1 bulb worked on the mirror, shower had tape on it(not sure what this was doing), plugs in the bathroom and kitchen were unattached, freezer door had no handle on it.
On the upstairs solarium it looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. The mattresses on the sun beds were filthy covered in brown dust and one of the tables had disintegrated so much it had turned from blue to yellow/orange and when touched covered your hands. I have pictures if required.
I understand that we could have called the owners friend to report the running water/ bulbs etc. but surely if the apartment is getting cleaned/checked before clients arrive these cleaners should know this and arrange to fix the problems.
Overall the apartment needs updating especially the solarium furniture.
