My family and friends enjoyed a fabulous time at Las Laderas. The property itself was clean and comfortable and ideal for 6 people. The pool area, equipped with shaded dining and gas barbecue, is fantastic. It is located in a rural area, great for a chill out holiday,  but access to the two neighbouring towns really easy with a car. The supermarkets stocked everything one could want and the restaurants we tried, notably the curry house, were really good. Not far from Las Laderas, we found a couple of really good restaurants, in common with this area, all really good value. Beautiful beaches are about a 45 minute drive away. Alan, the owner, was a fantastic host. He was really helpful and accommodating and with an extensive knowledge of the area, a great source of advice on where to go and what to do. As long as night clubs are not your priority, this is a lovely place for a family holiday.

My family and I had a fabulous stay at Las Laderas. The apartment was light and breezy and well appointed. The rooms were comfortable and the provision of wi-fi was an additional bonus. The views from the 1st floor patio area were magnificent and the night sky was something to behold. If you are looking for a place to unwind then this is it. The pool area with its own outdoor kitchen, fridge and changing facilities made the strenuous activity of bronzing that much easier as well as giving you an alternative venue for your meals.
There are several restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive and a couple of decent size supermarkets in Aspe about 20 minutes away. There also a number of local daily markets within a short drive selling clothes, fruit and vegetables and other interesting items. The beach is about a 40-50 minute drive away and we particularly liked Guardamar del Segura with miles of golden sand, crystal clear water and great waves. Santa Pola also had good beaches with lots of food options around the marina area.
Although we never met the owner, Alan, we were well looked after by Frank and Thelma who were there to welcome us and answer any questions we had.
A great holiday all round.

Lovely place to stay, exactly as described. We went there to have a relaxing holiday and that is exactly what happened. Fantastic views all around that we just didnt tire of. Norma and Bill were very welcoming and helpful. Would recommend and we hope to return ourselves one day.

What a wonderful place to chill out.
 
Las Laderas is a beautifully restored farmhouse set in rural Spanish countryside with spectacular, serene and unadulterated views of the surrounding mountains and olive groves. The accommodation is the whole of the upper tier of the farmhouse, furnished in a traditional Spanish style and has all of the facilities and comfort you would wish for, including WiFi (if you absolutely need it!). The balcony and patio areas are bathed is glorious sunshine perfect for alfresco dining from breakfast to supper time. Just away from the house is fabulous private sunbathing area and pool large enough to do your mandatory holiday lengths in.

The owner, Alan Smith (yes he’s and English guy who lives in Spain, but I am sure he will answer to Manuel!) is a very accommodating and hugely affable guy. He is an experienced, UK qualified walk group leader who will, and if you wish, be your walk guide on a number of local walks that he has established. He speaks excellent Spanish and has a wealth of local knowledge, particularly useful for pointing you in the best direction for shopping, eating and drinking, the restaruant La Buena Vida in the next village of Frailes being our favourite. The town of Hondon de las Nieves is small and pretty, the marketeers are friendly and the Bodegas Cerda is extremely cheap.

A BIG thank you for everything- we had a wonderful time in Spain and miss the holidays already!

Sitting on the covered terrace of the finca looking out over the vista of vineyards with distant hills melding into the horizon few could fail to be inspired by the artistry of nature! Loving restored by hosts Norma and Bill, the Las Chumberas offers comfortable and delightful accommodation.
